Yesterday the Government announced new measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and declared a public health emergency in Alberta. A lot of this information can be overwhelming to take in all at once, and it is ok to have your own thoughts and opinion on the subject. I hope we can all focus on our own health and practice the best hygiene at home and in public and try and boost our immunity whenever we can. AHS has recently made some new COVID19 restrictions for our Province for the next 2 weeks but nothing has changed for us, we are still open for Business. Our staff continue to wear masks while we work and the RMWB mask bylaw is currently active. We ask that you book your appointments in advance online or over the phone.... Please do not come in for treatment if you are having any Flu Like symptoms. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we do have a long cancellation list of people wanting to get in for treatment. June 1, 2020 marks our 10-year anniversary of being in business in Fort McMurray We are very grateful for everything Fort McMurray has given us over the years. I want to thank our amazing staff, both past and present, without you all we would not be where we are today. With more businesss opening up and everyone slowly returning to work there can be some anxiety over leaving the house to go back to work or even out in public, Below is a self assessment tool created by the Alberta government to take if you are wondering if you are healthy enough to do either. I just want to clarify the information that I have in regards to the clinic opening back up. Massage therapy has been grouped in with stage 2 of the Return to work program laid out April 30. Stage 1 is to begin May 14, which we are hoping will include Acupuncture. NO DATE HAS BEEN GIVEN TO STAGE 2 AT THIS TIME... When we know when Massage Therapy is allowed to reopen we will be letting you know and begin booking appointments at that time. I know everyone is looking forward to getting in for their treatments as soon as possible and we are looking forward to returning to work. But it will be a few more weeks! -Amanda

Higher Health Clinic will be closed until further notice due to the river break-up flooding and the Mandatory evacuation notice for all of downtown Fort McMurray. Thankfully the Clinic is unaffected by the flood waters and we look forward to re-opening as soon as we can!!

They mention that TCM played an active role in improving the cure rate and reducing the mortality rate in treatment and prevention of COVID-19 patients.
