The trails in the southern part of the province are drying out nicely! Welcome to an early spring.

After exploring the Riverside Trails last May, with Eric and Sebastien from the Shediac Outdoor Association, they recommended that I take the short walk out to the river on the old rail bed trail. I took their advice and loved the view of the old railway bridge abutments at the lookout on the Scoudouc River. For more information on this trail go to: https://www.hikingnb.ca//Acadi/Shediac/ScoudoucBridge.html

Last month I had the chance to check this trail off my list. The Boar's Head Nature Trail in Saint John is an oasis in the city. It is amazing how remote it feels even though its in the heart of the city. These hooded mergansers were enjoying that tranquility on the rocky point at the end of the trail. Trail info coming soon.
