Good day Sir or Madame! My name is Greta and I’m looking for my forever retirement home. I am a 13 year old female spayed domestic long haired cat. I am a tiny 6 pound package but don’t let me size and age fool you I am full of spunk and kitten-like energy! I am looking for a retirement home that will provide plenty of extracurricular activities along with plenty areas for sun-soaked naps. I love attention, snuggling and being brushed! I would be fine as the single furry te...nant in your home, but I also wouldn’t mind making new friends. With my spunky personality, it would be best if pre-existing feline tenants are younger or more social cats that love to play with other cats. It is believed that I would also do well with a canine tenant, so long as they respect my space and I have an area to observe from afar if they get too rowdy. I am very gentle and love all kinds of petting, even if it’s a little rougher. I can be picked up and held, even in strange ways so it’s believed that I would do well with children. If I have had enough attention, I will protest politely so I would be great with children who are taught to understand my boundaries and signals. I am up to date on vaccines and I had a dental cleaning in October. I have a clean bill of health and just need someone to love! If you think that your home is the proper retirement facility for me, please call or email Hillcrest Animal Hospital at (613) 394-4811 or at [email protected] A meet and greet can be arranged and even a trial tour of your retirement home can be set up as well. We hope to hear from you soon! Sincerely, Miss Greta

Autumn Safety Tip Cats are notorious for playing with things they aren't supposed to have! These objects can easily become stuck in the stomach or intestines and cause blockages that could lead to surgeries.

Meet handsome Arthur! He came in last week for vaccines but was so confused about his whereabouts that he became fearful. This lead him to hiss, swat and bite in a panic! Luckily, we rescheduled his appointment before things escalated further and he was as happy as a clam with a mild sedative on board! Here he is lounging in our cat tree after his doctor performed his physical exam. He received his vaccinations and nail trim while we offered a bit of wet food. #hillcrest_animalhospital #fearfree #happycat #trentonvets #quintewestbusiness

Guess what! Ticks are still here. Even though the temperatures have been colder lately ticks are still present. This one was found on one of our patients this morning, who doesn't spend much time outdoors. Because ticks are so hardy we recommend year round prevention.

Say hello to RVT Rebecca! She graduated from St. Lawrence College in 2015. Rebecca started her career in Toronto, but after a few years she came back home and joined our team. Rebecca has a strong passion for dental surgery, behaviour and surgical recovery. She is a strong team member and we are lucky to have her! If you have a corgi be sure to bring it to her first, we all know she LOVES them! So on her time off you will find her doing agility and flyball with her two corgis. She also has a passion for animals in need and this has lead her to volunteer around the world helping them. Keep an eye out for her future adventures. #RVT #rvtmonth #rvtmonth2020 #rvtpride #rvtandproud #vetmed #dvm #veterinarymedicine #vettechlife #quintewest #hillcrest #animallove #spayandneuterclinic #corgi
