Roses that are left unpruned can become a tangled mess of old and new canes, all competing for air and light. - Elizabeth Roth As the rose bush grows, it creates more buds that it can maintain, but the buds keep on coming. And if we don’t trim the buds down the whole bush can exhaust itself and die. Does this sound like a negative? No, because there is hope for growth if taken care of properly. Ideas and goals are like rose buds.... They constantly need to be pruned or maintained. If we don’t trim our ideas, just like the rose bush, we can overwhelm ourselves. Growth ideas are natural and it’s completely normal (and a very good thing) for new ones to come on a daily basis. So in a few days we are going to be back working out at the gym! I’m sure all of us are getting excited, nervous, anxious. Wondering if we can still do pull-ups or how to handle a barbell Don’t worry, we will be easing back into the workouts slowly, keeping the movements light and easy for the first few weeks. We have all been anticipating this day, and all of us coaches are excited to see everyone and working with you again. If things feel heavy or certain movements harder then usual, just give yourself time, and in a few weeks, you will be back to your normal intensity. We have had time to let our body rest, now time to make some gains
We said rain or shine, but it’s 8 degrees and really wet! Looking out for our athletes, we will cancel our Sunday class. Please do the posted workout at home and let us know how it goes !!
