Hi all, Meet Vinny! 2 yrs old... Vaccinated Neutered Healthy 75 lbs Loves people Including kids Good with dogs Ok with cats but will chase Hypoallergenic (all dogs shed to some degree) HI Everyone, this is Vinny! He is a very handsome, 2 yr old Labradoodle. He is a very smart and very social pup with a huge zest for living! He’s full of energy, loves running and playing and meeting new people. He is happiest when he is with the people he loves and it doesn’t take him long to love someone new! He is a total love bug! Vinny approaches life with an immense amount of enthusiasm. He was raised in a condo by a woman who loved him but couldn’t exercise or train him. So, now we have a 2 yr old, 75 pound , very exuberant and rather unruly puppy! Vinny is a joy tho, who is just loving his life! Kids and adults and other dogs are all his friends. He likes cats too but will give chase if they run! Squirrels are his specialty - he will take off at top speed after them, with a human, practically air-borne, hanging on desperately behind him! You’ve gotta be strong to stay with this guy! And, that’s where the training he needs, will come in handy! He’s as smart as a whip and likes to please, so it won’t take long for him to learn some puppy manners! He’ll need the opportunity to run free so a yard with a very secure fence is a must as are regular trips to the dog park! He’d be a natural for agility or fly ball. He thoroughly enjoys walkabouts so will take the opportunity to head out on his own, if a gate or a door is left open! This guy is super smart and a bit of an opportunist! We understand from his fosters that if there are handles on the doors instead of knobs, he can open them himself! He sees no reason to wait for a human to do it for him. It’s not that Vinny can’t relax - he can curl up at your feet to rest but if you give him the nod, at a moment’s notice he is ready to jump up and play! After a long, busy day he Becomes a gentle and loving buddy who loves to curl up with his human on a cozy couch! When Vinny is hungry and knows it’s getting close to meal time, he proudly picks up his bowl and prances around the kitchen to give a not so subtle hint to hurry it up! And if you’re looking for a guard dog - its not Vinny. He’s more likely to invite the intruders in to share a cookie and a cup of coffee! If you have the time (can’t be away from home all day) and the patience to work with Vinny you will be rewarded with a fabulous family friend! He is a beautiful pup with a huge heart and a huge capacity for fun! Adoption Fee - $550

This Very cute 4 yr old pup with the big bat ears is Lanai. She was rescued from the streets of Mexico but has integrated very happily into life in BC. She is a little timid of new folks but she is very sweet and playful with familiar faces! She is friendly with smaller dogs or dogs her size but is still a little intimidated by large dogs. She is a gentle soul whose human refers to her as an angel. See her complete bio here: https://www.homeatlastdogrescuebc.ca/#/lanai/

NEEDED IMMEDIATELY, A LOVING, COMPASSIONATE DOG WHISPERER TO PROVIDE FOSTER CARE FOR OUR BEAUTIFUL 8 MONTH OLD MASTIFF PUP, ROXY. Roxy was found as a stray in a small community in Northern Alberta. A very kind young woman noticed Roxy running on the highway alone and scavenging for food. Roxy was very frightened and wouldn’t get close but she was starving so the young woman began to leave bits of meat out hoping to coax her to come closer. The young rescuer, about to leave... the community, knew that in her condition Roxy would never survive the long, cold winter of the north. So, the young woman continued to leave food and to speak to Roxy in a quiet, soothing tone of voice. Soon, Roxy, unable to resist the food, came close enough for the rescuer to hold her and carry her to safety. Roxy did not resist the human contact and melted into the arms of the rescuer. She couldn’t have lasted much longer on her own. Roxy stayed with the young woman until it was time to leave the community. She thrived on the regular food, the warmth of the home and the comfort of another dog and the young woman. After many postings yielded no response, the decision was made to bring Roxy to the lower mainland and into the care of Home at Last Dog Rescue. We are so grateful to the rescuer for saving this beautiful, gentle pup. If you have a big heart and lots of love and patience , please help Roxy. Roxy is - - frightened of new people and new experiences (likes the car and small spaces) - about 95 % housetrained - healthy - vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas and ticks etc - 57 lbs - fine with dogs and cats -Skittish in an urban environment-she will need a quiet place to live If you can provide this home for Roxy, please email [email protected]

This very handsome looking eight year old is Tre. He hasnt had his DNA done but chances are hes a Staffy/Pitty maybe with some lab or boxer mixed in there, who knows? Whatever he is, hes a happy dog whose zest for life and loveable nature can brighten your day. Tre is very affectionate and gentle with his people. But, sadly he does not get along with the other dog in his household, and after a couple of serious altercations, the family has decided that it would be best for him if he went to a new home where he can be the only. No other dogs and no young kids! See his compete bio here: https://www.homeatlastdogrescuebc.ca/#/tre/

Please help Beautiful Chloe and Lovable Felix! These two amazing dogs need a temporary loving home where they can wait for their new forever family to come along. They have been part of a family until recently but their owner has a serious medical condition and can no longer look after them while she is caring for 2 very young children. A wonderful couple offered to look after them temporarily but the pups cant stay very much longer. Chloe and Felix love attention from people and would be heartbroken in a kennel. We are looking for people with huge hearts and big yards to help! https://www.homeatlastdogrescuebc.ca/#/chloe-felix/

This cute little Shiba Inu is in desperate need of help! He is 12 yrs old and has lived with his owners since he was a pup - but he cant stay with them much longer. Very sadly, the owners young child has developed very serious allergies to dogs and cannot be around Rocko. It is very unsafe for Rocko to be in the house because of the dander that seriously affects the little childs health. To Rocko this means that life as he knows it has changed drastically and quickly. He has gone from being a beloved family member living in the house, always with his people, to being an outcast, living in the yard and in the garage. Please direct all enquiries regarding Rocko to [email protected]. See his complete bio here: https://www.homeatlastdogrescuebc.ca/#/rocko/

Chloe and Felix are great friends. They are content to hang out with their people, go for walks and just chill at home. Due to a physically challenging medical condition, their owner can no longer care for them. She cant exercise them regularly or give them the attention and care they need. She is very attached to them and is hoping there are some very kind-hearted people who would be willing to welcome Chloe and Felix into their family and give them the home they deserve together. This stunning and unique looking dog is Hanna, an 8 1/2 yr old Lab/Catahoula/Blue Heeler mix (the designer name is Labahoula)! Some people say this is a mix made in heaven! And, if Hanna is any example - its true! She is sweet, gentle and kind. She truly has a heart of Gold! The decision to find Hanna a new family has been extremely difficult for her humans. They helped bring her into the world and she has been with them since. Update from Home at Last Dog Rescue Hello everyone! We cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate all of your support in these uncertain times. We are overwhelmed by applicants for fosters and adoptions and we cant thank you enough. Please be ensured we are reviewing them all and bear with us-there are few of us and many of you but rest assured, we are working on it!... With regards to adoption-as you can imagine, there is a bit of a challenge around approving adoptions and delivering the dogs to their new homes given social distancing/isolation parameters. We are working on how to best to proceed with a process that ensures pups are placed in a loving home while respecting the government guidelines on physical distancing. We will post updates as more information becomes available. Finally, as with everyone else, we want to thank all of our First Responders, Doctors, Nurses, Health Care staff and all other Essential Service workers who are getting up every morning and risking their own well-being for our benefit. We see you and we, along with everyone else, sends our greatest thanks! Times like this call for heroes and selfless acts, and you are definitely representative of both. Thank you again for all of your offers of assistance and friendship over the last few months. We are very lucky to have you. All the best to you and your families. Home at Last Dog Rescue
