It’s 4:30am and I can’t sleep. I decided to do what was on my mind.

Wonder, you smiled on your way home with me, after I had adopted you, Ellen and Rowling. You were so small at one point, and we had to plump you up. Your weight was perfect at the time of your passing. I remember when you woke me up at 5am once. You were running circles around me on the bed, and you had touched your foot. You never had a mean bone in your body, even at the end. Today has been difficult, to say the least. Shadow, Moody and Wonder all became symptomatic of... different things within the last few days. The decision to euthanize had to be made, given all of their ages (4.5+). Moody unfortunately did not make it to the appointment. I found her this morning when I went to go get her ready. She had fallen asleep, so I can only imagine she went peacefully. My heart hurts today. It’s like 2019 all over again, just not under such traumatic circumstances. I at least got to make the decision to have them be free of pain this time. #wonderhedgie

Shadow, my boy. I loved you so. I loved how you loved to be rocked. I loved how you loved Duke, and were always so curious about him. I loved how you picked me out of a crowd on more than one occasion. I love how you liked to climb my legs. I love how you loved your wormies. I love you, and I am so lucky to know you. Rest easy, my sweet boy #shadowhoggo
