The request and goal was to correct asymmetry. Shape was the most important piece of this tattoo. Loved doing these lips! A little bit more challenging than I thought as the natural volume in her lips was quite uneven - correcting the asymmetry on the top as requested wasn't an issue for me, it was the bottom that was tough! In order to have the shape stay quite strongly, we decided to do a more intense color. It doesn't mean that these more saturated colors will heal unnatural, it just means that the result will be more significant! Shape on fleek! Cannot wait to see the healed result 40% softer. Do your regularly visit your past? I do. You could say I’m a frequent flyer. My emotional passport tattooed with visas to the backwoods of my mind where dodgy characters like shame, regret, depression and their ringleader shoulda, woulda, coulda run amuck. On a lighter note, I also visit for nostalgia, sentiment, and wisdom. I am also someone who regularly visits my future. This mental landscape is littered with anxiety, fear, and worry but in its more refined areas is are ...also permeated with anticipation, excitement, and vision. These places call on me to visit often because I am their sole source of income and their currency is attention. Their entire economy is dependant upon my tourism, my energy. What I have to remind myself is that these are places I VISIT. These are not places I reside. My home is in the present. I want for you to remind yourself too that your home is in the present, and is what you do today that controls your tomorrow. I petition you to let go of missed opportunity or poor decisions you made in the past. You are not your worst mistake! Your best days are not behind you, they are still to come. It’s not too late to start over. You are not too far gone to rewrite the story you tell yourself about yourself. This too shall come to pass, it has not come to stay, but to pass so let go my loves! If you are feeling stressed and anxious, or heavy and depressed, take this moment to ask yourself where am I visiting right now? and bring your awareness back home to the present.
