Jan 10, 2020 - 40 years of traveling this earth. I am blessed and grateful for every breath, every laugh, every lesson learned. I spent my birthday reflecting. I don’t know if my mood was influenced by the number or the circumstance we all find ourselves in. Normally I would have had a big celebration planned and while I am sad about that, I am also happy for the slower pace and having time to really look at my life. Well that was quick.....13 years old and off to grade 9. So many emotions this week as there were technical difficulties start date changes and uncertainty about what the process was for her first day. But Sheriauna handled it with class and calmness (for the most part ). With all the uncertainties surrounding this school year, we pray for continuous covering, protection, health, and safety. I pray that your mind will be alert to learn the lessons from your teachers and... the experiences that life will bring your way. Please always know that you have a village of people surrounding you that are cheering for and supporting you. To all the students returning to school regardless of the platform and to the parents and educators that support them, keep your heads up, persevere, and keep your perspective in check.
