DANTE 2021, IN VIAGGIO NEL GIRONE DEI DANNATI / #InViaggioConDante Inizia il nostro spettacolare e sorprendente viaggio con Dante nel mondo ultraterreno della D...ivina Commedia. Seguiamo i passi del Sommo Poeta e, questa volta, siamo insieme al Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Ferrara. Cominciamo la discesa nell'Inferno con il Cratere della tomba 136 A rinvenuta a Spina, nella Necropoli di Valle Pega. Sul lato principale la vivacissima raffigurazione dell’ultima notte di Troia incentrata attorno all’altare e alla statua di Atena cui si appiglia Cassandra cercando invano scampo da Aiace che l’ha raggiunta e afferrata per i capelli, minacciandola con la spada. Ai piedi del Palladio siede Andromaca con in braccio il piccolo Astianatte che si protende verso Priamo, in abiti frigi che tenta di resistere all’assalto di Neottolemo, figlio di Achille, che sta calando su di lui il colpo che lo ucciderà. Con l’uccisione di Priamo, glorioso re di Troia si conclude definitivamente il destino della grande città. Perché quest'opera? Atom Egoyan's "8 Screens"...2020 marks the 100th anniversary of Federico Fellini's birth. Due to the restrictions that were in place, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto was forced to postpone the exhibition celebrating the Maestro's genius, which was to open in June at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. An installation by Atom Egoyan that was to be part of the Fellini exhibition included the short "8 Screens", the director's tribute to Federico Fellini. The Istituto Italiano di ...Cultura Toronto is pleased to present Atom Egoyan's homage, as we await the opportunity to see it as part of the postponed Fellini exhibition which is now scheduled to take place in 2021. In this work commissioned by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, the renowned Canadian film director presents his vision of Federico Fellini’s masterpiece 8.
