Jace Martin was raised on Six Nations, Ontario and began singing professionally at the age of 13 at area music venues, festivals and on stage in Toronto, Ontario under mentorship from Canada's Queen of Jazz and Grammy Nominee Salome Bey in a theatre production called, "Rainboworld" that launched the career of R&B Superstar Deborah Cox and many more including Jace Martin. Jace Martin is a 6-Time Aboriginal Award winning Recording Artist and has performed as a singer, writer a...nd producer with The Wolfpack, The Backroads Blues Band and TruRez Crew. In February of 2017 his track "Free to Fly" broke into the U.S. Mainstream Billboard Top 40 Radio Chart demonstrating the reach of his music. The IMC is pleased to welcome his track ‘Give a LIttle’ from his aforementioned album to this weeks chart!

Mike Bern, is a Wolastoqiyik singer-songwriter who hails from the Tobique First Nation, New Brunswick. He’s released his latest single ‘Waponahkew’, which lyrically connects to the land and spirituality. He is formerly of Indigenous Music Award winning bands Kickin’ Krotch and District Avenue. Mike has kept much of his alternative rock sound but is now also exploring a more roots rock sound. My music is an infusion of Folk Rock and Indigenous influences. I like to incorpor...ate my Native tongue into the haunting melodies. I like to mess around with chords until I come up with something I like, then I’ll try and put some vocals to it. Digawolf, based in Yellowknife, NWT is a JUNO nominated singer/songwriter for his last release Yellowstone. His latest release features, ‘High Arctic’, which already has an accompanying music video produced pre-COVID, Diga said it was a lot of fun to produce. I don’t want people to take it overly seriously, it’s meant to be fun, he continues. Not only is this a song about teamwork, the lyrics of the song also have a strong message, with words like stand up strong and stan...d up tall, and stand out what’s for right and wrong. Alberta’s Chevy Beaulieu sings songs about living, loving and having fun. The Metis son of a 3-time Canadian Fiddle Champion, Chevy never had shortage of music growing up. He has been playing and writing music since he was 15 years old, it wasn’t until the summer of 2012 that he decided to take music more seriously when his family band had the chance to open for fellow Canadian Country artist Shane Yellowbird. He is a new country artist that was raised on ‘The Hag’ and Outla...w Country Music. New school artist with them old school roots. Genevieve has earned recognition within the Canadian Country Music scene by earning Female Artist of the Year nominations at the 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Country Music A...ssociation of Ontario Music Awards. She has been recognized by the Canadian Country Music Association with her prestigious CCMA performance selection at the 2012 New Artist Showcase in Saskatoon. Edmonton-based Metis singer-songwriter Celeigh Cardinal earned one of the highest honours in Canadian music at this years 2020 Juno Awards for Indigenous Artist of the Year (in March). The recognition followed the 2019 release of her critically-acclaimed independent album Stories From A Downtown Apartment. Her talent has not gone unnoticed by the music industry, she is also an award recipient of the Indigenous Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards(2018) an...d Female Artist of the Year at the Edmonton Music Awards (2018). Celeigh’s powerful soulful voice and knack for writing songs that connect well with audiences, has received fanfare during performances across North America and internationally, including Reeperbahn in Germany, and tours in The Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
