I've got news for you.. Just yesterday, Canada resumed it's all-program Express Entry draws and have started issuing invitations to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) candidates. We all know that travel restrictions was introduced by the government ever since Corona was labelled a pandemic in other to prevent its spread.... This in return, also put the all express entry draw on hold since March the 4th. This is yet another sign that things are gradually easing up and every society including CANADA, have started re adjusting. COVID 19 or not, life just has to go on.. It's the 1st day in the month of July While this symbolizes a new beginning with the trademark "happy new month" salutations going round in Nigeria, it also stands out as a very special day down here in Canada as well. Here is why:... Every 1st of July is termed CANADA DAY and is set aside as a public Holiday by the government to mark Canada's 153rd's birthday. (July 1 commemorates the joining of Canada’s three original provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Province of Canada, which is now Ontario and Quebec, into one nation in 1867.) Now you know right. Year 2020 is officially half way gone with just 183 more days till it's end. Yes, it has been challenging with a lot of things put on hold both globally and otherwise but, it shouldn't stop you from having a great year still. Jerimaih 29: 11 - "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end", That is one line from the scripture that does it for me regardless the challenges. I also suggest that you pick up something that feeds the positive you and let that fuel your pursuits as we navigate through this month and the rest of the year. Allow me let you in a bit into my world. Some years ago, I migrated into the Canada the the wrong way (via education) hoping to land a residence licence afterwards but It took me well over 7 years with a lot of back and forth to finally realize that dream of becoming a Canadian citizen. I went through a lot i must tell you. I almost gave up on the idea at some point but for the sake of kids, family and generations to come , i pressed on.... Today, i can say i am grateful i never gave .. I am not only a citizen but my children are married and also schooling as citizens too.
