The House of Commons has now passed Bill C-7, which will make it possible for someone NOT near the end of life to receive assisted death on the basis of having a disability. The bill is now sitting with Senators for consideration, and as they are expected to make their final decision by tomorrow, (Friday, December 18th) we urgently need your help in reaching out to explain the risks and dangers this bill presents to people with developmental disabilities. Learn more, and take action here: https://inclusionalberta.org//we-need-your-help-to-stop-b/
Our CEO Emeritus, Bruce Uditsky, will be on CBC Radio's Alberta at Noon today at 12:30pm MST to discuss Bill C-7. Listen live at 99.1 FM in Calgary and 93.9 FM in Edmonton.

Make sure your voice is heard, and help ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities and their families don't get left behind. The Canadian House of Commons has passed Bill C-7, introducing medical assistance in dying as an option for people who are not nearing death, provided that they have a disability or disabling medical condition. Bill C-7 has been repeatedly flagged as a violation to the human rights of people with disabilities. Today, on international Human Rights Day, the bill will land on the desks of Senators and it is our hope that they will not rubber stamp it today. Read more:
