Tuning has always been application specific, what may work for one person may not work for another. We were tasked with converting Jacky’s recently purchased Evo 9 highway monster into something that had a more usable powerband for track use with the intent that the car would still be street driven. We focused on basic upkeep of the vehicle to start, replacing basic maintenance items so that we would have a solid foundation to start tuning from. A Link ECU G4+ Plug-in was o...pted for to reduce the amount of wiring to complete the install. A speed density conversion coupled with a fuel pressure sensor were installed to help keep the car reliable during track abuse. We opted to focus on making the car livable, which meant that the car had to start and idle without assistance from the throttle with the aggressive GSC 272 cams. The request from Jacky was to provide him with a smooth flat torque curve which would suit his driving style. While there is more power to be had from the hardware, a full conversion to a flex fuel setup will be utilized for safety before we’ll be pursuing anymore power. We’ll be looking towards pushing the setup further in the future! Thanks to Paul and Bespoke for lending us their AWD dyno for the day.

Mang brought his tastefully done S2000 CR in for a Hondata Flashpro Tune. Although this car might not look like much on the outside, the complimentary wheel and tire package, coupled with the Penske coilovers make this a very fun car to autocross. We were happy to complement the intake and exhaust package with a much needed tune that really wakes up the sleeping mid range power.

We just had to share this amazing short filmed, directed and driven by our customer Patrick. In true Corvette fashion his Z06 has seen plenty of action at the track and is a very fitting star of Ardor Amour. Show his Instagram some love at https://instagram.com/patrickkalyn

Anyone remember this blast from the past? Jimmy brought his S13.5 for an engine install and tune on his fresh SR20 build. The old engine wiring was replaced with a new harness paired with a Link G4+ Storm with our standard fuel pressure monitoring package. A custom catch can setup was fabricated for adequate crank case pressure relief Engine supplied by Garage Five Performance | Touge Factory

This is a pretty neat product offering from Turbosmart to check out up close. What looks like a wastegate is actually an anti lag valve. The inlet port is typically plumbed into the intake tract and 4 outlet ports are available to plumb into each exhaust runner. The valve opens and closes based on the vacuum of the engine allowing air to bypass the throttle for true rally style anti lag. We have been using the Turbosmart product line for many of our builds this year. It's nice to see that this company continues to innovate and improve their products, and we will be seeing a lot of improvements with the Gen V lineup.

This is something really neat coming out from Injector Dynamics expected to release to market in Q2 of 2019. We had the chance to see a live demo of their new fuel pump and controller. In theory pushing out enough fuel to support most high power applications on a single pump. Lots of flexibility for low speed and voltage environments. This pump is rated for 1100lph at 9bar. Insane.
