Always pure entertainment with these two rolling through the gym this is how my workouts usually go, two kids crashing the party, remember the days when u went to the gym with no kids ? Like just put ur head set on and smashed out a killer workout I love my kids but I really miss my alone time working out, currently I’m not willing to get up at 4:30am to have that time, I value my sleep too much. It’s called compromise hope everyone’s having a great week so far!!! I will be posting some updates soon

Well finally an update still working on it and getting closer but not quite where I planned to be by now So how’s your quarantine going? To be honest for the first 5 weeks I felt like I was crushing it, I was enjoying staying home and working on the house and yard, I would create project after project to occupy myself, busy hands settle a busy mind. I was enjoying not meeting a million expectations outside the home and running around like a taxi, everything felt s...imple. I worked out everyday, I cleaned the house, I cared for my children and husband, I worked on my daughters preschool work with her, I did the yard work, and worked on projects........ and I didn’t have to work, and then it went from peaceful to overwhelming.... no mind breaks, mental overload, no escape for mom monotonous day to day with no reward of completion because you do the same thing everyday..... so I did my best and went on with routine but I also coped with late night hot tub soaks and low carb cocktails 3 nights a week, rotating 1 night on and 1 night off. I was still working out 5 days a week but my water intake had dropped drastically to a liter a day, and at least 2 days a week I was eating bad food and then the anxiety attack happened, and I’m talking like knock me on my ass anxiety attack, at home with a toddler and a baby suddenly so overwhelmed I felt like I was going to keel over it was soooooo debilitating I can’t even explain it. I made it through with breathing, getting outside and grounding myself, I pushed through but I’m not going to lie it was a terrifying experience and it has been years since I had an anxiety attack; so what gives? Well late nights, extra alcohol, and lack of water it all adds up to disaster....... sooooo here I am readjusting myself and my routine focusing on the healthy choices and limiting the bad ones, trying to drink 3+ liters of water a day eating only healthy foods, going to bed early and trying to keep alcohol to the absolute minimal for at least the next 3-4 weeks on the physical side I have obviously only lost 5 lbs in the last 2 months part of the food and alcohol choices I was making over the last few weeks. Amy’s pandemic guidelines Workout a minimum 3 times per week Ex- outdoor cardio, body weight/band or dumb bell exercises, sports drills, chasing kids. WHATEVER YOU CAN ... Eat clean meals, with your extra time pre-plan meals. Schedule meal times to prevent over eating and keep it simple Ex- healthy shakes for breakfast Raw veg, deli meats, rice crackers for lunch Crockpot chicken recipes for dinner with salad or veggies Only drink at max 1-2 times per week. (Parents at this time need alcohol, I understand ) Choose low carb/ low sugar drinks Ex-vodka with soda water and a splash of flavor like mio, crystal light etc. Or low carb coolers like nude, pyur etc. Keep yourself busy with tedious tasks you’ve been neglecting. Stupid things like organizing closets, drawers, pantry’s... and if your lucky enough to have a yard get outside and work on it, pull out every weed in the lawn again whatever you can. Busy hands slows down a busy or anxiety ridden mind Go to bed early, wake up early..... getting up and enjoying alone time in peace in the morning rested is way better than being the last to bed exhausted and watching some pointless show Oh and a side note, refrain from wanting to kill your spouse or children #inspiredtraining #fitnessguidelines
