PLEASE NOTE: somehow some of the pictures were cut off after posting and so missing the prices, we’ve added them below each picture. Let’s talk about Teresa Wareham for a minute. Teresa is a lovely local lady from right here in Minnedosa. She makes water colour look easy (and it is so the opposite), her talent, eye for colour and diversity in her painting is simply astonishing. Teresa has also taught a few classes here at Inspire, let’s hope that when we get this pandemic b...ehind us, she will do so again. Teresa is also a retired registered nurse, after her nursing career she also taught new student nurses during their practicums at the hospital. Teresa and her husband have been bitten with wanderlust and have spent much time traveling, where Teresa found so much inspiration for her painting, even taking classes abroad. Prices have been marked on each photo as well as dimensions. We ask that you please message, call, text or email us to ask for details, want to claim one of these pieces. Commenting on photos is much appreciated, however so hard to keep up with. We offer curb side pick up, free in town delivery, shipping can be arranged, and contactless payment options. We accept eTransfers, cash, cheque, interac, credit cards. Today we bring you our friends from Iron Age Welding. Owned by Michelle and Rick Cop from Brandon, and we have to give mention to their sweet daughter Emily, from Brandon, Manitoba. Michelle is the designer of their pieces, drawing each piece out and transferring it onto the metal. Rick then follows up cutting everything and welding it all (no CNC, it’s all done by hand) and getting it ready for paint...which is back at Michelle and at times Emily (she’s an alcohol ink expert...). Many of you have been to Inspire and have also admired their custom made shelves for Inspire. If you have an idea, be sure to give them a call. They are absolutely amazing to work with to bring you a totally custom piece (fireplaces, benches, railings, gates, they do it all). Be sure to check out their Facebook page for some of their other pieces. We offer curb side pick up, free in town delivery, shipping can be arranged, and contactless payment options. We had to take advantage of the beautiful day we had yesterday, and got a little festive! How nice was it to be able to decorate Inspire’s store front in just a sweater on December 6! I hope you all enjoyed the beauty of a day yesterday!

So many of you have asked about classes, we miss them just as much as you do! Starting in October.. How do you feel about Covid Classes? Catered just to you and your safe bubble of family & friends? A private art class just for your group that you are comfortable with and we gear it just to your wants and needs. You pick a project, a medium, an evening(s) and we have a pile of fun together. We would need a minimum of 5 for your group to make it work and no more then 8 to k...eep us all safe. Weve given this a lot of thought, and feel this is the best way to offer classes in a Covid safe way. You can share art supplies, brushes, wood burners, any other tools required and feel safe doing so. You can have a great visit and make it a great social outing for you all (heck well even find appropriate bevies if needed!). Well make sure everything is sanitized before and after your class and keep your health and safety as priority 1. If you are interested please stop by Inspire, together, well come up with a plan (well provide examples), a date and make it a memorable experience for you & your tribe!
Love it when Tammy of Flowers on Main comes in to restock the cooler, and at this time of the year, she chooses the most awesome of colours. How does one not want to keep all these lovelies for themselves?
We got busy, we got messy....really messy....like a lot messy...which means a ton of fun and fabulous results on that canvas posted last week. Ineke from Its Time Fashion & Gifts sent us these great jeans as inspiration for the canvas, we added an old scarf and tank(also from her awesome store), mixed in some Powertex, Liquitex, grout, shaded and highlighted with some Unicorn Spit and this is what the final result looks like. Soon you will find this piece gracing the beautiful walls of Its Time, but for now we are happy to have it for another sleepover while the sealant cures.
Huge shout out to all the kiddos, parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, Educational Assistants and all teaching staff, as they make their way through these crazy times and head back to school this week. We wish you well, stay healthy, you got this!!
Whos excited for these..pop up drive in movies happening here in Minnedosa this weekend? Which one(s) are you hoping to see?? Well see you there! #valleylife Discover Minnedosa
Some plant schooling 101 The money tree plant- considered to be a symbol of luck and prosperity. The braided trunk is meant to catch luck within its folds, the 5 leaves at the end of each stalk represent the 5 elements earth, water, wind, fire and metal. If you happen to see a stalk with 7 leaves, they are even luckier as they are very rare! These plants love both direct and indirect light, and do well with high humidity (or you can spray/mist them down every so often). Allow the soil to dry between watering. An added bonus..these plants are pet safe!
They background to a new project in the making, a 2 by 4 foot canvas, going for an old rich stucco wall look. What will come next...youll have to wait and find out!
I love our small town in the Valley, I love the people in it even more! As many of you have seen our or...not seen our colourful bench in front of the studio, it broke and was beyond repair this spring and unfortunately had to be retired. Fast forward a few months and I meet up with Becky White in another fabulous business in town. She and Nathan own Whites Funeral Home, they had replaced their benches, wondered if I would be interested in one...of course I would. Yesterday ...Nathan delivered a fabulous new to us bench, unloaded and set it exactly to where I wanted it to go. I cannot thank them enough! We live in one of the kindest and most thoughtful of communities, could not imagine living anywhere else! #valleylife #minnedosa #minnedosaproud #smalltownpride
And just like that August is over, summer is slowing, days are getting shorter, evenings fresher, and our lake life in the Valley will slowly transform. I wonder what beauty awaits as we make way for fall.
My plans for the weekend ... What are yours?
4 Fiddle Leaf Figs 4 Croton 4 Small Leaf Spiderwort 6 ZZ plants... All just in and looking amazingly fabulous and oh so colourful!
When you sell plants, you should probably sell some homes for these lovely plants...(we may be getting a new shipment of plants in this afternoon...shh!)... New flower pots are starting to arrive at Inspire
Is it my imagination or do these Manitoba grown cut flowers get prettier with each week?
This piece reminds me of the Disney Movie Beauty and the Beast! Wasnt there a cabinet or wardrobe in it? This piece is all set and done and ready to find its forever home. It patiently waited for its turn to get all the attention it deserved. Painted with the Artistic Vivations Metallics (a division of Unicorn SPiT), golds, deep rich greens and a custom made navy brought out all the lovely wood sculpted details. The drawer is lined with a vintage wallpaper to complete the upcycle. Cant wait to see it grace someones home and be loved for many more years to come.
Okay Prairie Mountain Health Region lets do this...lets be safe and get that curve flattened!
Do you know how hard it is not to keep some of these beauties for myself... another big shipment of plants arrived at Inspire yesterday, check out this selection Weeping Fig Croton Various Dracaena... Aralia stump Money Tree Swiss Cheese Monster Peace Lily ZZ plant See more
I love these...can totally picture this on the backside of Inspire...how cool would that be!! https://www.facebook.com/handinhandparenting/videos/299881394403609/?vh=e&extid=eJRL2Natlc9vqXBv&d=n
Meet Ribberto, Sir Croaksalot, Snoop Frog, MC Hopper?? Any and all of these names suit him really! Using an empty 1 liter Perrier plastic bottle, old plastic grocery bags, left over wire from an electrical job, tin foil and a whole lot of hockey tape...mix that together with some Powertex and weve got a super fun project! This time around the green and yellow Powertex came out to play (yes it comes in colours!) and it proved to be so much fun and did not disappoint! After that was done we brought out the metallic paints to bring out all his croaky character!
Perhaps the colour wheel can teach more than just colour? This is so true both literally and figuratively!!
We are, once again, fully stocked in our 4oz Unicorn SPiT in both the Regular and the Sparkling. Let the creativity begin!!
Now available: Child and adult non-medical face masks, $15/each. Brendan has sublimated these masks with various images. Due to the high demand custom orders are not available at this time.... Hes also supplied us with more of the Valley Life Love tumblers in as well with proceeds going to a worthy cause.
Look whats back in stock!! Those sought after hand etched wine glasses. Audrey of Bent into Shape hand delivered them along with some gorgeous tables and more...only this time she upped her game with those...filling those carved out trees with resin!
Carrie McCallum has brought these ingenious fire starter kits into Inspire. Shes made them with all repurposed items and finds, all held together with wax. Starting a fire has just become that much easier, and prettier!
Wow...have you seen this...we really and truly live in a magnificent and stunningly gorgeous province! So many more places on my bucket list of visits after watching this video (and a few familiar places!) Thanks Travel Manitoba for letting us fall in love with our home again! https://youtu.be/D9EMx-BjgwY
FYI... We may have gotten a huge shipment of pottery in!! Including those coveted travel mugs! Spectacular glazes and designs as always..Shaun does not disappoint!
Gail Penner came in the other day and restocked her Utensil Creations! More wind chimes, more bracelets, more earrings, more rings....
Thank you Val Jarema!! A few weeks ago she got a hold of Inspire and asked if I had a use for this stand or if I could turn it into something. For now it is a great way to display our smaller plants!!
