Hi puppet fans! IPUF isn't producing this one either but IT'S GOT PUPPETS! More puppets at the Fringe! Timmy & Tommy is a puppet show by Pape and Taper from Calgary! Only two more shows! Blending puppetry, storytelling, and live blues guitar, Sticks + Bones plays the classic deal with the devil setup against a possible future where a border wall goes up between Canada and the U.S., telling the story of a mountaineer in the Pacific Northwest who, after falling from a g...reat height, finds herself at a crossroads in a dusty, arid land far from where she fell. As she fends off the perils of this strange place, she discovers that she must make a deal with the Devil if she ever wants to leave. Tonight join us for the final event of the 2017 IPUF Festival - a performance of The Umbrella presented by Quest Theatre by PUENTE Theatre and the The Old Trout Puppet Workshop. The Umbrella tells the inspiring story of the relationship between an umbrella to its owner. Through this exquisite narrative of love, loyalty and devotion, we discover that even imperfect, a person remains worthy of being loved. During a storm, our heroes suffer damage, but love triumphs! The show is... an adaptation of the book written and illustrated by Judd Palmer, nominated in 2012 for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Children’s Literature. Hey! Are you looking for some fun FREE family entertainment today? Well you are in luck because today is IPUF Kids Day 2017! That means that from 2pm - 5pm admission for kids 14 & under is FREE!! Start with a parade puppet workshop, next come see a puppet show (The Umbrella (Family Show)) and then wind down with a screening of short puppet films geared for kids and families, brought to you by Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams!
