Another project started in November. The complete modeling, optimisation, and drafting of a heavily modifies JCI JS-220 Scooptram.

I recently took on a new design project. I'm pretty excited about it because even though I have lived/worked in the oil capital of Canada for the last 3 years, I have mostly been working with mining & tunneling equipment.

Finally after about 50 hours of struggling through massive geometry repairs on the engine model, it's finally starting to look like something.

Found this while I was cleaning up my desktop. This was prior to Vegas MineExpo 2012. Pushing the limits of my workstation trying to get things done. Working in IV, exporting models from IV to Max, and exporting models from Max. My M6600 has been awesome! #geekitup

This vent tubing handler was designed for a specific tunneling project in northwest BC. The tunnel measures ca. 42' wide and 36' high. The duct sections to install measured 15' long x 96" diameter and weighed just over 1500lbs. They were to be installed at a height of 30' to the center of the tube. Duct sections like this carry fresh air into the tunnel during construction. Tubing handler was mounted to a Normet Himec high capacity aerial work platform. The handler was designed in accordance with CSA standards applicable to aerial work platforms and was intended to carry 3 men with 600lbs in tools and equipment.

After spending the last couple of months mostly creating process documentation, it's great to be back into modelling. Started a new project modelling all hydraulic & pneumatic hoses and wiring harness.

Zoom in and out using your scroll wheel. Is there something on this page that you would like to see in 3D? Technology has made product design a breeze! Maybe that invention idea you have isn't all that far-fetched!
