Solid Douglas fir, all laminated by @thewoodsource, then cut, routed and assembled by me! We also did the grey board behind the shelves! Look at this crown moldings to reclaim connection! B-E-A-UTIFUL! I had the pleasure of working on this reclaim wall before the Christmas break, and it's definitely one of my best ones. The added "beam" was a last minute idea to tie in the reclaimed wall to the existing fireplace, but I think it worked out perfectly! The Gather-ring Pavilion won three awards at the Ottawa 2019 Urban Design Awards! The Gather-ring Pavilion, designed by Manuel Baez, was JME Design Build's first official project. I was hired as a research assistant and contractor to help guide the student volunteers and help collaborate with other contractors. Overlooking the Ottawa River and Victoria Island, the Pavilion was constructed as a temporary art installation for the Canada 150 celebration and is influenced by Indi...genous creation stories - the design team and students consulted Indigenous elders to ensure that the Pavilion was constructed respectfully. I am so very proud of what we did and the lengths we went to to ensure the project was completed! The three awards are: Award of Merit - Urban Elements Award of Excellence - Community Initiatives and the Power of Community Engagement People's Choice Award Thank you to the @thewoodsource, @loretta_studios_gallery, Manuel Baez, as well as all the students and contractors for sharing in this experience!

INTRODUCING!!! The tiny JMEdb trailer! Unlike those other jobsite trailers, ours can fit into all those in city jobsites with ease!! It's cedar framing and siding allow for a less weight than pt, but still resilient. The hydraulics allow for the oversized lid to be lifted with minimal effort and remain open all day long. It's made of 60% reclaimed wood, and the trailer was rewired and painted by us.
