As of tomorrow, October 20, 2020, we are reopening our doors so we can maintain our mental and physical health. We thank all those who have helped us in signing the petitions and emails to get this result. For Kids and Teen classes We will find a way to make up the class(es) that had to be cancelled due to the temporary closure. All safety measures we had in place before the closure still apply. We don't have to change anything to comply with the restrictions outlined by the... government. Wearing facemasks, social distancing, cleaning between classes, and be ready for class before you come to the studio...you were all doing great before, let's keep it up. NEW REGISTRATIONS - if you haven't already registered your child for classes and are interested, we have a few spots open. Just call us to find out which ones are available. We can also review with you all the safety protocols. Adult Registered classes Any classes cancelled for the temporary closure will be made up or given credit. Dear Joy of Dance students, The Ontario Premier Ford has just announced a new modified stage two lockdown in order to help cope with the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in Toronto. As of tomorrow, October 10, 2020, for the next 28 days we are going to have to hold off on doing in-person classes. ... We are working diligently to keep our community engaged during this lockdown. As before, all expiry dates on class cards and programs will be extended equal to the time of our closure. Adult classes will be moved to virtual only. We will keep you up to date on classes and potential new times. Anyone who needs assistance with participating in virtual classes please let us know and we will guide you through the process. For Kids and Teen classes The care and well-being of students is a high priority for us. We are going to put in-person classes on hold for the 28 days and then extend the classes into January. We value the impact in-person classes have on students and are committed to providing them. We also recognize that many households can't host virtual dance classes in their homes. During this temporary closure, we will be offering new virtual classes by age groups and styles. We will announce the schedule by mid next week. We will work diligently to keep students engaged during this time. We know that for many students, dance is keeping them centered and surviving this time. We take this responsibility seriously. If the closure goes longer than 28 days, we will organize a new plan and announce it to everyone. Despite the fact that we have had zero cases of COVID-19 in our facility and no community spread, we accept and comply with the new restrictions put in place by the Ontario Health officials. We want to thank you all for your continued support and endless patience during these unprecedented times. We look forward to when we can get back together in-person and find a new normal.
