We are so happy to announce that four of the nets are now up at Overlander Park! These courts are for recreational use only and there will be no organized league play until the next phase of reopening as determined Provincial Health Officer. We will be implementing new guidelines and policies for our programming as directed by ViaSport and Volleyball BC. Thing to consider if choosing to return to recreational play: - Do not participate if experiencing any symptoms of cold ...or flu - In order to maintain a 2m physical distance as best as possible, no high fives/celebrations - Everyone brings their own hand sanitizer, sanitize as often as possible especially before and after each session as well as before drinking water or eating food - Avoid sharing water, food, and towels as well as touching your face throughout the session - Wipe down volleyballs with sanitizing product before and after each session - Avoid carpooling to and from the beach unless with members of same household - Keep training groups to 6 players or less and try to keep as much consistency as possible in the people you are training with As we’ve been told, choosing to return to play is an individual decision as everyone has their own risk factors. Be kind, stay safe, and have fun!

May 28th Update: We are still waiting for Return to Play guidelines from Volleyball BC. We recently heard from ViaSport that they should be released soon! When the new protocols for recreational play are released we’ll submit the document to the City of Kamloops for review. Once approved, only then will we have permission to put the nets up at Overlander Park. Individuals that choose to play recreationally should remember to adhere to the following guidelines:... -Maintain two metres distance from others who are not in your household -Wash and/or sanitize your hands frequently -Disinfect personal equipment before and after use -Do not share equipment -Stay home if you feel sick Be safe and be kind! Hello, Given the Covid-19 pandemic currently sweeping across the globe, the Board of Directors for KBVC wanted to send out an update. In these uncertain times, it is impossible to know whether we will be able to play beach volleyball at all this season. Our beach volleyball league has been postponed until further notice given the order by Dr. Bonnie Henry to follow social distancing protocols at this time. We usually start the last week of April, but that won't be possibl...e and no start date has been determined. We have identified the following tournament dates for this Summer, however it remains to be seen whether we will be able to host any tournaments at all. May 30th - M/W 2s June 20th - M/W 2s July 4th - M/W 2s (Satellite tournament for VBC points) July 25th/26th - VBC Pro Beach Tour Event August 22 - M/W 2s Sept. 12th - SandJam Fundraiser for TRU Volleyball Sept.13th - M/W 2s We'll update everyone via email and through our social media channels should anything change.
