Help for Hospice at Aberdeen Mall runs until Monday October 12th. Last Saturday was the kick off to their annual HELP FOR HOSPICE Campaign. $940 and so many items off our much needed wishlist. What a day of generousity - thanks to all who visited us that day and donated. Donate and help flatten the curves!! Yesterday, OCTOBER 1st, was the kick off to David Payne and Living and Growing up in Kamloops 60 Day Challenge in support of Hospice! Below is David's introductory note to the challenge... All right my friends today is October 1st and today is that day when we all decide to get back in shape Do it for yourself, do it for your health or do it for the Kamloops hospice society!!! For the next 60 days let’s all do our best to loose some ...weight together and let’s support one another while we do it. Go for a walk, go for a hike, play pickle ball, swimming, frisbee golf, tennis, basketball, football, longboard, rollerblade, run/job or hit the gym up by yourself and do not depend on anyone but yourself. (Most of these options above are free) If you need someone to push you, message, call, email me, make a post on this site or comment here and together let’s make a difference in our lives and potentially in someone else’s. My 4 favourite gyms are (No limits, Heavy metal, TCC and plant fitness) so there are some affordable options out there. You do not need a partner because I’ve been pushing myself for years but it’s time we amped it up, if we can help change people’s habits maybe we can get in shape and donate for a good cause!!! Remember that time Kamloops kicked major Butts together and lost a ton of weight for the hospice and made a difference??? I sure want too!!! October 1st - December 1st (60 days to make a difference) Donate any day or on December 1st!!! No rules just stay honest and begin to truly love yourself because I do!!!! Dear friends and family of Living and Growing up in Kamloops Crew, I am excited to announce that with the help of Richard Woods, B100 Kamloops and Kamloops Best Rock 98.3 CIFM many of us are putting our efforts together to help a place many people hold dear to their hea...rts. As you all know recently the Kamloops Hospice Association was the winner of the $1000 prize from our Gofundme page and when I was meeting with Erin Gardner and Wendy Marlow I couldn't quite help but want to try and do more to help such a wonderful place so I got to thinking. Seeing how Covid has shut down so much around town(including the Hospice Gala their big fund raiser) and how many (not all of us) have put on the not so fresh "Covid-5-10-20" I felt it was time to find a creative, fun, and positive/affordable way to generate some money for an incredible institution like our Kamloops Hospice. How it works: So starting October 1st going until December 1st(yes you can start or quit anytime but) we will be doing a Living and growing up in Kamloops Biggest loser competition where we all try to come together, be healthier and lose some weight in support of our beloved Kamloops Hospice. On December 1st all weight lose can be donated in $$$ can b e-transferred to an email provided and all the proceeds will go to our friends at the Kamloops Hospice Association. Example 5 pounds = $5.00 or 10 pounds = $10.00 or more if you lose more. (Smallest amount that can b e-transferred electronically) just so everyone knows. If we can get enough people to lose enough weight and or donate some money we might all make a very large difference while all losing weight, feeling healthier and knowing that together as a community we can all make a difference!!! Honestly Its time to continue to show this awesome town and the world how awesome we can all be if we all stay positive, have fun and support each other. Even if you don't lose weight or maybe you lose weight and you don't have any money that is okay too. You are all welcome in on this 60 day challenge with me and our Kamloops Crew as we all try to raise money for such an awesome place!!! #kamloopshospiceassociation Remember sometimes trying is half the battle, So who's with us??? A small group from Rivershore Estate Ladies Golf spent the day together in support of Hospice last month, raising $870.00 this year! We are so grateful to them and for their ongoing yearly support.

We had a lovely outdoor visit with two of our St John Ambulance Dog Therapy Teams today, Jennifer and Prim & Robbie and Dougal. It hasn’t been the same without our weekly visits.
