Matthew Hussey is a world renowned dating coach for women. In this video he talks about a Wim Hof retreat he goes on with a bunch of other very high achieving men which pushes him and the others to the peak of vulnerability with each other. He then goes on to explain how even after that experience and even after all the work he has done on himself and his personal growth, it remains a struggle for him to be kind to himself, to allow the vulnerable parts of himself to be ok.... He talks about how hard it is for men to be vulnerable with each other. To open up and to be real while maintaining their integrity. As it can also be difficult with unkind and toxic women. In the end he has a program. I haven’t looked at it, so I can’t say yes or no to whether I like the program he points to in the end but that isn’t the reason why I’m sharing this video. The video itself is enough of a message that I’d like to share. I agree with everything he says in this video. I am an ally for men. Sometimes a therapist in my professional capacity and sometimes a witness and a space holder in my personal capacity. Either way, you’re safe with me. My hope is that more people, men and women, can learn how to be a safe place place for each other, moving forward. See more

Not quite there ..

During the new moon ceremony, I was drawn to move to my knees for a moment, mesmerized by the fire. This lovely dog moved immediately to my side, pressing her body against mine. We sat in silence together for several minutes, sharing the experience of closeness and touch. It’s amazing to me the ancient connection we have with dogs. How easily we connect, feel safe and love with each other.
