Welcome to all of our new members. Almost 900 likes now! My name is Kate ! I started Rare Plant Care 7 weeks ago.... I started by propagating my collection and selling plant babies. I was originally Mom On Site. I started selling out pretty fast, so I contacted some suppliers in Phillipines, Indonesia and Thailand. 7 weeks in and I've found some very reliable people to work with. I get amazing pictures from Indonesia Everything I import is a custom order. I acclimate everything for 2 weeks :) I only sell out of my home for now. I have big goals. I used to work in construction, and seeing peoples faces when they get their dreams plants is definitely preferable. Also priceless. Some of my customers have cried happy tears. I cry with them. My collection of strings Watch for huge 'strings' sale tomorrow ;) We will focus on cheap healthy common plants before Christmas while the rares and exotics acclimate ;)... I have 800 plants to pot. They come bare root. I clean every plant. Discard the ones I've lost during shipping. (Yepp sometimes the risk goes bad) Make as many sizes and prices as possible. I make my own soil. I water them all. Organize them all under lights and fans. (Pay crazy amounts of hydro) I now have price tags for them all as well. This shipment came in PERFECT but needs to acclimate anyways ok. I have another shipment coming as well. I have to finish these ones before the next box arrives. It is not all fun and games. A lot of work. Im up at 2:45 am potting plants still!
