I've received quite a few calls today inquiring whether we will be opening soon. The ministry of health has announced that it will be providing the Royal College of Dental Surgeons with some guidelines for opening. I am hopeful that we will be granted permission to open in the near future. However for now, we are still only open for emergencies. As soon as that changes, I will post the update and begin contacting patients for appointments.

Great news! The office will re-open Monday June 8. We have begun the process of booking patients. Please be patient, as we have a lot of people to see, and we need to book more time for each patient to allow for proper infection control. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Well, it looks like it will be a bit longer before we re-open. When the Covid-19 outbreak began, we thought wed be closed until April 6. However, based on what we hear from the Ministry of Health, we expect to be closed at least until May. In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay home. Maintain excellent oral hygiene, and (for our braces patients) avoid hard and sticky foods. We will continue to answer phone calls and emails during business hours to answer your questions and manage emergencies (from a distance). As soon as we know when we can re-open, we will contact all of you to get you back on track.

I hope that all our patients and their families are doing well. I know there has been some uncertainty regarding those appointments that had to be rescheduled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Once the restrictions have been lifted, we will work extra hours and even Sundays to get everyone back on track. In the meantime, Katherine is answering the phone and emails during regular business hours, and we check messages regularly. I am only able to see true emergencies at this time - those that involve infection, bleeding, or significant pain. Anything else will have to wait until restrictions have been lifted, for the safety of everyone. My best wishes for everyones good health and for a speedy resolution to this outbreak. - Dr. K.

Attention to our patients: As per the recommendations of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario for the current COVID-19 pandemic, our office is cancelling all appointments for the next two weeks. Instructions for orthodontic emergencies will be left on our answering machine, in addition to contact information if anyone should need to reach Dr Kellerstein.
