I am really happy with the results of this restoration. The texture on the suit jacket took a little time, but I think the final product looks great.
Enjoying an afternoon outing during the early 1900’s this British couple has a unique ride. Their Abingdon King Dick brand motorcycle and sidecar is all but forgotten today. Most of us have never seen one of these 3.5hp British classics as they were discontinued in 1933 and there are only a dozen or so known surviving bikes out there.
These fancy fellows just needed a bit of restoration to bring back the style of the original photo.
This handsome fellow lost his hair due to damage on the original photo. A little creative work with the clone brush and he’s looking dapper once again.
A fresh restoration I completed this week of a young baseball player. Moderate damage along one side and a bit of redrawing required on the jersey logo. Now it’s as good as new... A simple restoration from last year of a young solider during WW2. I enjoy working on military photos because they really capture a piece of history. Once this one was finished, I was amazed at how much detail you could see, right down to the marks and wear on the grill of the vehicle.
While it looks like a mugshot at first glance, this picture is actually from a 1950’s ID card. The customer asked for the number board to be removed so they could frame the image as a portrait. This one had a unique challenge as we weren’t able to scan the original and had work from a copy, which due to the type of scanner used, had a very apparent moire pattern that had to be corrected before the restoration could start. I had a chance to see the framed print today as we started the restoration of another 4 photos for this customer. Stay tuned to see the results on those next week.
It's not everyday that you get to hold a piece of history. This week I was able to restore a signed photo of Hedy Lamarr. She was a Hollywood actress of the 30's and 40's, beauty icon, and the inventor of Spread Spectrum Technology that led to today's Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
A recently completed restoration. This one was a little tricky! Lots of tiny details to fix, but the final product turned out great.
A little touch-up here, a little adjustment there, get rid of those cars in the background and this cute picture is ready to be printed on a canvas. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
This one is special, as the woman in the photo is actually my grandmother. The final print turned out fantastic and we were able to enlarge a very small original to a modern 5x7.
Been married for more than a few years? Parents have an anniversary coming up? Here's an idea for a gift. Have wedding photos restored to their original condition, printed and framed.
