This has been a very challenging year for all families, but it has been especially hard for those families whose children are struggling with mental illness. We welcome news by Minister of Health Christine Elliott & Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Michael Tibollo prioritizing the mental health of children, youth, and families with $147 million to address the impact the pandemic is having on the mental health of families. Of this funding, $30 million will greatly support community child and youth mental health providers to deliver essential mental health and addiction services which are facing increased demand since the pandemic began. #kidscantwait

While we are all doing our part to manage the pandemic, so much of what is happening in the province and the world is out of our control right now. This is a good time to focus on the things that are in your control. When it comes to traditions of the holiday season, consider how you can incorporate the traditions, or at least parts of those traditions, that are most important to your family. https://cmho.org/seven-tips-to-get-ready-for-the-holidays/ #kidscantwait
