What a great way to capture a long time tradition and capture ranching life on the prairies.

We're celebrating 4-Hers today! 4-H is one of the world's largest youth organizations, with about 24,000 members across Canada including about 3,000 in Saskatchewan. Joining 4-H as a member or volunteer is a great way to get involved in your community and support youth in agriculture (and many many other projects as well)! Hats off to all of the 4-H clubs that come to Frontier Days every year, and help us out by volunteering with our other events as well!

It's Agriculture Month in Saskatchewan! October is the time to show your appreciation for our Province's farmers and ranchers, engage with your family about food production, and maybe learn something new! #CelebrateAg

Tots Play: Tots Play will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 11:30 AM beginning September 28. Cost is $2/family. Walking for Wellness: Walking for Wellness begins on Monday, September 28, running Monday Friday from 8:30 10:30 AM. Cost is $1/day or $4/week.... Forever... in Motion: Forever in Motion will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 -9:45 AM at a cost of $1/class.

Due to limited interest in rescheduling the Equestrian Clinic for later this year, we have made the decision to cancel the event for 2020 with hopes of hosting it in 2021. Thank you to our committee for their efforts in organizing the clinic this year, and thank you to all who signed up. We hope to see you all soon!

While this year has been full of ups and downs, the Swift Current Ag & Ex is gearing up to host our 13th Annual Ranchman’s Ridin’ & Recitin’. Our show may look a little different this year, but we have been carefully planning to ensure that all of participants, spectators, staff, and volunteers have a safe, fun show. Events at Ranchman’s Ridin’ & Recitin’ will be the Junior Stockman’s Livestock Show, Cattle Pen Show, and the Heavy Horse Competition, all taking place on Septe...mber 26, 2020. There will be a limited number of entries accepted in each event, and only entries from Saskatchewan residents will be accepted. We have developed policies and procedures for the show that must be followed by everyone in attendance. We are confident that our plans meet with the guidelines set out by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan. As the number of COVID-19 cases our community may change quickly, please note that we will be monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action to ensure that we are complying with any guideline changes that may occur. We serve our mandate through the development and delivery of programs such as Frontier Days Regional Fair and CCA Rodeo, Doc’s Town Heritage Village, Step Into Spring Home & Leisure Show, Ranchman’s Ridin’ & Recitin’, Discover the Farm, and Equestrian Camp.

In light of the recent press release from the Sask. Health Authority regarding the COVID-19 outbreak in Swift Current, The Swift Current Ag & Ex and Dave Fiddle...r, Equine Chairman, have decided to POSTPONE the Equine Clinic scheduled for July 21 & 22 , 2020. After careful deliberation, our Board of Directors has come to this decision in the interest of prudence and public safety due to the current provincial circumstances and the ever-changing threat of the COVID-19 virus. This decision was not an easy one to make, but we feel it is our responsibility to do everything possible to avoid risk our participants, community, volunteers, and staff. At this time, we hope to be able to re-schedule the clinic for sometime later this summer, and will update our social media and website once dates are chosen. We thank you all for your patience and understanding through all of this uncertainty, and hope that we can see you all soon!
