The number ONE thing a horse needs is to feel SAFE!

Here's something that came up on one of the horse pages I follow and I think it's important to share. A horse owner discovered her horse's tail ripped off this ...week, exposing the vertebrae. The owner posted several pictures of the horse and the severed tail, and I noted that the tail was BRAIDED. It's not known for certain, but I believe it is reasonable to deduce this horse caught its braided tail on something and possible spooked and then ripped its tail off. So, lesson(?), do not turn horses out with a braided tail? That is what the takeaway is for me. And you can see this horse had a beautiful, long, thick tail before this happened. See more
