When the backup camera stops working it turns into find the fray Friday . Our tech had to trace for power to find where the break in the line is. Ended up being a frayed wire inside the rear trunk arm tube . This little torn wire caused a failure in the reverse lights, reverse camera , and caused the trunk to no longer open. With news that we are staying in Stage 2, we continue to have our customers wait outside our showroom while their vehicle's are repaired. With the Ontario governments Phase 1 of re-opening starting today we have noticed a higher number of vehicles out on the road. If you are like most people and haven't been driving your vehicle during the shutdown you may be noticing some noises and grinding going on. **We preface anything we say by advising if you are having any issues you should have it inspected by a licensed technician.** Rust ridges can build up on the brake rotors that have been sitting for a while, cau...sing a grinding or vibration to occur when you hit the brake pedal. This is common to most vehicles; we recently serviced a customers fleet of 2019 and 2020 vehicles that had not been driven for a month and they all had this issue. Taking the vehicle for a decent length of road test where you are able to be on/off the brakes can usually alleviate this issue. The brake pads and heat generated will wear that ridge off and you'll be back to a quiet smooth ride in no time. If you are still having issues please don't wait, bring your vehicle in to get inspected so we can make sure you're safe on the road. Both our locations are safely open and we have undertaken many measures to ensure physical distancing.

After careful thought we have decided to close both of our shops for 2 weeks. The safety of our employees and our customers was always top of mind , and we wanted to remain open long enough to help for as long as we could . The last thing we want is for our customers to be stuck without their primary mode of transportation, we want to be there to help if we can. Update: both shops are open but with reduced staff and reduced hours. We implemented some new policies to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers. Our showroom will no longer be open for customers to wait inside while their vehicles are being repaired . We will setup a canopy tent out front with some chairs so that if you did have to wait, there is an area outside for you to wait. If you could have someone you are isolating with pick you up or if you wanted to go fo...r a walk while we worked on your vehicle, that would be best! We are staggering appointment times so that it creates the least chance of customers coming into close contact with each other. We are discouraging the use of physical cash at this time, please consider using debit or credit cards to pay . Or before coming back to pickup your vehicle , call in with your credit card and we can take payment by phone further reducing any physical interaction time inside our shop. All keys will be cleaned with a disinfecting wipe before our technicians bring the vehicle into the bays. We also request that before you make an appointment or come in for work you consider whether it is something that needs to be repaired ASAP or if you could hold off some time while we work through this pandemic . We know tire repairs, brake work, and other mechanical issues need to be fixed ASAP for you to be safe while driving. You could hold off swapping out your winter tires for your summers , as the weather isn’t warm enough consistently for you to do any real damage to your winter tires . If it can wait, please just stay safe and stay at home . Oil changes can wait (especially if you aren’t doing a lot of driving), there is no need to put everyone at risk to replace your oil.
