With the new COVID regulations put in place yesterday, here is what you need to know about Kivi: Our trails are open Our playground is open and is a mandatorymask zone! Pass pick-up will not be available at this time Please wear a mask in our mandatory mask zones! This includes the parking lots and trail heads. ... Use the hand sanitizers that are distributed throughout the park Please follow social distancing measures and be as safe as you can when visiting the park! While we are happy to stay open, we are doing our best to provide a safe space for all to get outside and be active during these times. Did you know Kivi Park was named the first Para-Nordic Training Center in Ontario? We are so proud to have these incredible athletes call Kivi Park home! Kivi Park is the most accessible Park in Greater City of Sudbury year-round. Our Para-Nordic athletes can exercise by running, walking in their sit ski or wheelchair. The terrain gives our athletes opportunities to be active and safe at the same time. People who are typically fearful of uphills and downhills, are able to... walk, bike, run and sit ski! Not all Para-Nordic Athletes who come to train understand that this is possible for them! The Great Pumpkin Hunt! Come out to Kivi Park on Saturday October 24th from noon until 4PM in your spookiest costume and join in the Great Pumpkin Hunt! Thank you to Lake City Reality we have hidden 500 pumpkins throughout Kivi Park (don’t worry, we kept them within 500m of the entrance). ... Other activities include: Scary Smores Station Halloween Scavenger Hunt (prizes for all who complete the hunt) Freaky Family Photo Session (donation required) Spooky Story Trail Walk This event is fun for kids of all ages. Entrance fee is a donation to our Affordability Fund. Kivi Park Pass holders are free. Please dress up for the occasion! To manage our numbers, we require registration for the Scary Smores Station, Freaky Family Photo Session and Spooky Story Trail Walk. Registration is limited to 25 people per station and will rotated through in 20-minute blocks so there is plenty of time to have everyone at each station. Registration is required upon entry. Please do not park on the street. If required use overflow parking lots on Raft Lake Road. Mask are mandatory. Contact tracing will be in place. Social distancing is required at all times. Please note there may be a line up at times as we will limit the number of people in the park. Please plan accordingly and come back later if there is a line up. We would like to spread out our guest throughout the 4 hour event.
