Are you suffering from wrist and knuckle injuries when boxing? Let me help with that! Using hand wraps have many benefits like protecting the wrist and knuckle from injuries There are many different ways to wrap your hand but here is a simple one:... 1. 3 times around the wrist * remember not to pull the wraps too tight, that will cut off blood circulation 2. 3 times around the knuckles * try to get the wraps about an inch or so lower than the knuckles towards the fingers, this will help the wraps stay in place and prevent them from sliding anywhere else 3. Now go to the base of the thumb and then back up bringing the wrap between each finger. This helps prevent the knuckles from shifting and getting pinched 4. Let's make sure the wraps stay where they're suppose to by going back around the knuckles a few more times 5. 2 times around the thumb, just simply wrap around the thumb and then around palm back to thumb to do it once more 6. Let's finish off with the wrist because we don't have much wrap left And thats how you wrap your hand! If you have any questions feel free to comment below!

Please welcome the newest addition to the Konga family, coach Kevin "Pretty Boy" Persaud ! He will be teaching Muay Thai, kick boxing, boxing, as well as having private sessions at Konga! Coach Kev has been teaching, coaching, training, and fighting for 6 years, and has 33 fights in total! Including fighting professionally in Thailand where Muay Thai is there national sport. He has also fought all over Ontario and even in Montréal. Coach Kev finds it alot more rewarding to ...help people through fitness and martial arts than having his hand raised at the end of a fight, and thats why he has been certified from the Sporting Authority of Thailand to teach not only in Canada but Thailand as well! He has taught all ages, and all skill levels! From 4 years old to 54 years old, from wanting to lose weight, to working with professional fighters there is no goal that coach Kev cant help you achieve! Coach Kev has trained hard, trained smart, fought hard, and fought smart over the years. He believes training smart is always the best way to go. Preventing injuries while achieving your goals is what coach Kev strives for! He believes in building his clients and students up rather than breaking them down! He believes in bringing out the best in everyone through fitness to help build confidence, that translates to every aspect in someone's life. There's no need to be intimidated with coach Kev, he loves to make Muay Thai, kick boxing, boxing as fun as possible while still getting a great work out! Hey Friends, Welcome Coach Roman - our new addition to the team! Education: BS in Applied Kinesiology, CSCS, FMS, PICP level 1, Metabolic Analytics Practitioner Roman is Strength and Conditioning Coach with over 6 years experience of training general population and athletes of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Roman specializes in getting people look, feel and perform better through strength and mobility training.... Born and raised in Russia, Roman was always fascinated with human body and ways to make it work better. At school he loved human biology classes just as much as he loved sports. Later he did his BS in Kinesiology and never stopped his education process ever since. Roman constantly researches for valid courses to add to his knowledge base. Despite his strive for academic education, he values practical skills above the theory. He trained heavily in martial arts, from Karate in school to Boxing in University to Muay Thai later in the years. Currently he is an amateur Olympic lifting athlete and looking forward for new opportunities to develop himself. Roman’s training style is a result of mixing the tools that he learned throughout his lifting and martial arts experience with knowledge he got through education. His solid knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics, programming, load periodization, nutrition and injury prevention ensures that his clients move towards their goals in fast, efficient and most importantly, safe manner. He puts his clients’ priorities above anything else, which leaves them with no other option, but to succeed. Want to get stronger, move better and loose some weight in the process? Please welcome Nicole ! She is a ISSA certified Personal Trainer, NASM Group Personal Trainer and has her RYS 200hr Yoga Alliance certificate. She grew up as a dancer and acrobat and that turned into a professional dance and aerial artist career. Nicole travelled to India to learn yoga from the best and most authentic source, where she earned her RYS 200hr Yoga Alliance certification. But don’t let her namaste fool you - that’s only one side of her. Her acrobatic background... makes her a unique specialist on strength and conditioning too! Training with her you will get the ability to do things that you would never imagine you could and reach your goals in safe yet efficient way. She is very friendly and approachable person and always ready to help!

Our silence on social media means that we are working extra hard behind the scenes. . By now everyone has heard the news, all gyms will be closed for a period of time (again), including Konga. It's upsetting and frustrating. There is a pandemic and the unknown makes everyone uneasy. Anyone who has come to our gym knows we are diligent in making sure that everything is clean, sanitized and safe for our clients and staff. . Clients, students and parents rely on our gym not only for physical improvement but for mental health. Our space gives the ability to grow, discipline, learn and achieve.
