In response to Kootenay Virtual Realitys customer requests; we are now providing private bookings for people within your bubble. Book our 4 stations and we will restrict the public from entering our studio during your time with us. This provides an opportunity for everyone to participate in our VR experiences, while remaining safe. To request this service please call 250-428-5443 Thursday-Sunday 2:00-10:00. As per our ongoing commitment to safety all our equipment is sanitized using a UV-C light and then cleaned again with sanitizing wipes. The studio is still open to walk in traffic and regular online bookings.

As many of you know we are now reopened. I would like to inform all of our costumers that purchased gift certificates for our studio that we will be extending the expiry date on them by three months. This should help those of you that had them expiring soon.

Kootenay Virtual Reality Will be reopening Thursday May 14 at 2:00 I would like to thank all of our customers that have called us asking about our reopening date and everyone’s continued support over the past year.... Our focus is on helping to keep our customers healthy and happy. What we are doing to reopen: We will continue our high cleaning standards. We have brought in a hospital grade UV-C light for added disinfection of all headsets and controllers. Our double booth has been physically divided to maintain social distancing. There will be a limit of four players allowed in the building at one time. Headsets will be limited to a single player per booking (no sharing of the stations). 15 minute studio rental is no longer available due to the extra cleaning time between players. Headset disposable masks are available for your use ( not mandatory) What you can do: If you are feeling unwell, please do not visit Kootenay Virtual Reality. Feeling unwell includes, but is not limited to, respiratory issues (cough, running nose, fever, shortness of breath). Please try to book online @ kootenayvirtualreality.com or call us at 250-428-5443 to book an appointment. This will help us keep visitors in the studio within the Government guidelines. If you do enter our studio, please follow these hygiene protocols for your safety and ours: * Wash hands with soap and water after entering. * Hand sanitizer is available at our reception desk * If you cough or sneeze, use a tissue or into your bent elbow and wash or sanitize your hands immediately afterwards. * All visitors must sign in * After playing please do not loiter in the studio after playing * Please show up on time. We are still open to serve all of our customers As our community deals with the impact of the Coronavirus, we feel it is important to share with you what KVR is doing to ensure the safety of our customers. As our regular customers know, we have always had a extensive cleaning procedure in place and now have increased our efforts following all government recommendations. What Kootenay Virtual Reality is doing... Maintaining high sanitation standards by continually cleaning and disinfecting all of our gear after EVERY customer Now providing sanitary face cover masks to reduce where skin contacts VR equipment Ensuring all commonly used surfaces such as door handles, light switches, are sanitized frequently Asking customers to wash hands for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizer provided before using VR equipment. Closing one of our stations to non family members to maintain social distancing Allowing only one customer per headset. No sharing of stations Instructing anyone not feeling well to stay home out of an abundance of caution Allowing reservation rescheduling and waiving cancellation fees that are due to any illness Thank you for your patience we want to ensure that your experience is not only exciting, but importantly safe. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our customers. We will be open our regular hours throughout the holidays including boxing day and new years day 2:00 till 10:00 pm, but closed Christmas day

Stop in an pick up your Kootenay Virtual Reality gift certificates for Christmas. They are great stocking stuffers that are available in various time amounts. We will be open through out the Christmas season.

KVR will be closed Saturday November 9th. This is due to attending a celebration of life. We will reopen Sunday the 10th of November at 2:00 pm. Sorry for the inconvenience.
