The KWS is celebrating National Volunteer Week by highlighting some of the many volunteers that give their time and talent to the KWS each year. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! In 2009, I had the opportunity to participate in the mass choir for the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony's performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It was such a powerful experience! In the days after the closing concert I emailed Edwin Outwater, the KWS Music Director at the time, asking: "How can I get involved? Is there some way for a full-time student with no disposable income, some musical training, and a lot of passion to contribute in the music community?" Joan Ang, KWS Volunteer Committee Member since 2009
Our Music Director Andrei Feher sat down with this weekend's guest iskw to chat about her beginnings as a dancer and how she moved into music (with an appearance on Canadian Idol). This weekend's concert is truly stunning and we hope you join us for this special collaboration - iskw with the KWS is streaming April 23-25, 2021. https://kwsymphony.ca/concerts/iskwe-with-the-kws/
