We have been granted 13 race dates for the 2021 racing season, opening day is August 8th!

The final day of racing at Leamington Raceway was a cold one but didn't stop the fans from coming out. Along with eleven races it was a day for award presentation. The winner of the Lakeshore Cup was Somehowsomeday. He is owned by Keith Cassell, trained by Fred Bourgault and was driven to victory by Preston Shaw. The Randy Kerr Legacy award given by Cindy and daughters Lindsey and Ashley Kerr was presented to Donnie Rankin and Mike Morand who were both good friends of Randy's..., long time standardbred owners who showed dedication and hard work in the sport. Also presented today were the Top Driver and the Top Trainer Awards. For the second year in a row these went to driver Mark St. Louis with 47 wins and trainer Danielle St. Louis with 14 wins. Going into tomorrow’s races Marc St Louis Jr remains the leading driver with 37 wins, Tyler Borth is in 2nd place with 13 wins, Garrett Rooney is in 3rd with 12 wins and Lorne House is in 4th place with 10 wins!

This season we purchased brand new saddle pads for the horses, this way each horse gets to keep the same pad for it’s warm up and the race making it easier to recognize the horse. It’s also more efficient during the times of COVID-19 with no sharing of saddle pads.
