As we continue in Phase Orange, Public Health is asking that no new teams/activities/programs/groups be allowed to begin for the time being until they are able to better understand the scope of the current outbreak across the province. This decision will be re-assessed by Public Health on January 15, 2021. As a result of this request we will not begin our house programming at this time. We will await further information from Public Health on January 15 and make a decision for programming potentially starting on January 23, 2021. The safety of our members and community is our priority. We will continue to provide updates as we have more information. We thank you for your continued support and patience. We look forward to seeing the kids back on the courts soon. Stay active and stay safe!

Happy New Year! Unfortunately, it's not starting off as we had hoped. As you are aware, we planned on starting our 7-week house league programming on January 9th. However, due to the province moving to the Orange Phase today, the LMBA board has decided it is best to postpone the start of our basketball play until January 16th. We will still offer the 7-week session with a brief pause over the March Break. As always, you and our community's safety comes first. We will monitor the situation and if any further changes are required, we will continue to communicate how it will impact our House League programming with you. Stay active and hope to see you all on the courts in a few weeks.

There are still spots remaining in all age groups, and new players are always welcome! Especially given the difficulty for all sport leagues to secure gym time, we also welcome those from other associations to join us for this season to stay active and have fun.

In response to the current situation, the LMBA board has decided to suspend all programming through to November 29th. We are doing this as a precautionary measure only. We will be meeting mid-week next week to review the information from Public Health and Sport NB and assess if sessions are able to proceed for the following weekend. Keeping our LMBA and extended community safe is our main priority at this time. Thank you for your understanding.... Please follow us on Facebook for updates - www.facebook.com/lancaster.hoops. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

Hello LMBA Community, We really enjoyed helping your children develop and have fun playing basketball during our skills and drills sessions. We hope they had as much fun as we did! Because of their success and diligence in following our health and safety guidelines, we are pleased to announce we will be offering a 7 week winter House League. BNB has allowed the organization to move to Phase 5 of the return to basketball plan which allows modified games. The winter session w...ill provide a weekly game from January 8 to February 21, 2021 for participants in the U10-U15 divisions. We can’t wait to see the kids apply all the skills they have learned into game situations! [U10 and U12 will be 4-on-4 full court format, while U15 will be 5-on-5 full court format. Please note, depending on registration the U15 group may be co-ed.] Registration for Winter House League will cost $75.00 per player. Registration is now open at the link below. Please know we really miss our younger players! We are still hopeful that we may have access to school gymnasiums early in 2021. If we are lucky enough to get access, we will be sure to offer sessions for these age groups. At this time gymnasium access and participant limitations continue to impact our decision to offer sessions to our U4-U8 groups. We hope to see you all soon! Keep an eye out for further announcements on our Facebook page. https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/253191

Fall 2020 Skills & Drills participants: The LMBA will be transitioning our COVID-19 Pre-Activity Screening to TeamSnap. What does this mean?... Instead of getting the weekly LMBA Pre-Activity Questionnaire via email, you will be able to access the questionnaire directly on your smartphone though the TeamSnap App. Do I have to complete the Questionnaire for each session? Yes! The Pre-Activity Screening Questionnaire must be completed before attending each session. Your coach can access this information to ensure all players attending have completed it. How do I access this TeamSnap App? If you have not already done so, please download the free TeamSnap app through the App Store or Google Play. You can then follow these step-by-step instructions on completing the health check. Thank you for your continued patience as we all adapt to the current situation.
