LOW SUNDAY | DOMINICA IN ALBIS | DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY ~Lesson: 1 John 5:4-10 Dearly beloved, Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory, which overcometh the world, our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He that came by water and blood, Jesus Christ: not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit which testifieth that Christ is the truth.... ***Holy Mass | Divine Mercy Holy Hour | Chaplet | Benediction***

~MAUNDY THURSDAY~ Lesson: 1 Cor 11:20-32 For I have received of the Lord that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which He was betrayed, took bread, and giving thanks, broke and said: Take ye and eat: This is My Body, which shall be delivered for you. This do for the commemoration of Me. In like manner also the chalice, after He had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in My Blood. This do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of Me. For as often as you shall eat this bread and drink the chalice, you shall show the death of the Lord, until He come.

Passiontide A.D. 2021 Jesus said to them, Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I am. They therefore took up stones to cast at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out from the temple.

***ALL SOULS | November 2, A.D. 2020*** ~ Offertory ~ O Lord, Jesus Christ, King of glory, deliver the souls of all the faithful departed from the pains of hell and the deep pit; deliver them from the lion’s mouth, that hell engulf them not, nor they fall into darkness, but that Michael, the holy standard-bearer, bring them into the holy light * which You once promised to Abraham and his seed. V. We offer You, O Lord, sacrifices and prayers of praise; accept them for those souls whom we this day commemorate; grant them, O Lord, to pass from death to the life * which You once promised to Abraham and his seed

***ALL SAINTS*** ~Collect~ Almighty, eternal God, Who granted us to honor the merits of all Your Saints in a single solemn festival, bestow on us, we beseech You, through their manifold intercession, that abundance of Your mercy for which we yearn.

Today is the Feast of All Saints, and the first of the 30 days of November that we have an opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Those are our friends who are destined for Heaven; they love God, they love us, and they need to be purified for Heaven but there is nothing they can do on their own; they need our help- our prayers! A simple prayer for the Souls at a place of burial, and the indulgence is granted! under the usual conditions for i...ndulgences. A few different prayers that can be prayed: "Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen." or "Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Fidelium animae per misericordiam dei requiescant in pace. Amen." Psalm 129 ("out of the depths I have cried to Thee, o Lord"...) Litaniae Sanctorum (The Litany of the Saints) The Gospel of Lazarus being raised from the dead. (John 11) Any readings or prayers from any of the Requiem Masses. Let us be faithful to our brothers and sisters of the Church who are suffering the purifying fires of purgatory and need our prayers. Omnes Sancti et Sanctae Dei, intercedite pro nobis.
