Orientation week looked a bit different this semester, in light of the current restrictions in Ottawa and Ontario. After travelling from out of province, our students had a mostly virtual o-week: a much different experience than the norm! We’re so proud of how our students have handled all the changes with grace. #letsmeet Monica! She’s a 5th year philosophy honours student at TWU. She enjoys cooking , exploring new places and going for coffee and walks with friends. A fun fact about Monica is that she has citizenship in Canada and Mexico Monica has this to say about her internship in the office of @davidsweet.mp ,Through this internship I am learning about parliamentary procedure, researching and writing briefs and posts on international human rights issues, and witnessing... MP Sweet’s skill and work ethic as Chair of Parliament's Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy, and Ethics. On top of it all, Monica’s top reason for coming to the LLC is, studying in our nation’s capital is an unparalleled experience. I think this is one of the best places to grow as a student, leader, and most importantly as a follower of Christ. We are blessed to offer you these opportunities and ecstatic that your time has been so enriching! #letsmeet Quinton! He’s in his 4th year at TWU studying political studies and economics! Quinton enjoys all things outdoors camping rock climbing and boardgames. A wonderful fact about Quinton is that this summer he was able to marry his high school sweetheart and best friend! While interning in an MP office, Quinton has been researching and drafting policy proposals on housing issues, and responding to constituents concerns and questions. Quinton’s top reason for coming to the LLC is, to gain practical experience in the political sphere and to prepare for a career after TWU We hope that this time in Ottawa launches you well into your future after grad!

We are proud of our brilliant alumni like Dr. Tyler Chamberlain (SP 08)! Tyler was also an LLC instructor while completing his PhD at Carleton U and the Acting Director in FA 14.
