Dear friends, Laurentian Lodge has made the very difficult decision to remain closed for the duration of the 2020 season due to the ongoing risk of COVID-19 transmission and spread. Several factors have contributed to our decision, including the delayed start to our season because of the provincial emergency order, the ongoing social distancing requirements, and the potential for a resurgence of the virus in the near future.... We realize this is a phased approach and restrictions may change. However, we also have to be prepared to shut down at any time if cases of COVID-19 increase in the future. With such uncertainty, we have made the decision to remain closed. We understand how disappointing this is but we believe it is the right thing to do, as your health and safety, and that of all of our guests, and our staff, and our community, are what matters most. We hope to use this time-out to reassess our operation and develop a plan to implement the recommended safety protocols put forth by health and safety authorities. We will be entering our 50th year as owners/operators of Laurentian Lodge in 2021 and we sincerely hope that you will join us as we celebrate this milestone. Hi friends, Unfortunately, because the provincial emergency order has been extended until June 30th, we are remaining closed for the month of June. We miss you all and hope you are keeping well. Fingers crossed for July! **Update June 5th**: Despite yesterday's announcement regarding the re-opening of short-term rentals, we are still planning to stay closed for the month of June while we review the protocols and regulations for re-opening safely. We'll let everyone know ASAP when we make a decision. Thank you for your support!
