Olexander and our team are putting the finishing touches on the Easter Meal we will be serving our community today at 1pm. By sponsoring meals you can show Winnipeg’s most vulnerable citizens that they are loved. Just $20 provides one person with meals for a month. $100 provides our entire community breakfast for a day. Last week was a super busy one, especially with community members needing support with emergency food hampers. This has left us with a very empty pantry to meet the needs of our community this week. We want to send out a big Thank You to our friends at Santa Lucia Pizza and Pita Pit on Regent for providing lunches this past week for our community. Last Thursday, Pita Pit delivered 300 fresh made pitas in time for lunch, and just this past Monday Santa Lucia provided us 25 pizzas to serve our community at lunch. 25 years is a long time to be committed to serving a ministry such as Lighthouse, and this month marks 25 years of faithful service to Lighthouse Mission by our Door-to-Door Ambassador, Richard Kunzelman. Through all types of weather, Richard is out in the many communities of Winnipeg and the surrounding areas sharing about the ministry of Lighthouse Mission and collecting donations to support our work.
