The Light Up Your Life Society has gratefully received these beautiful digitally enhanced photographic prints (framed) from Faulkner Fine Art Gallery (in Fallis, AB). The artwork will be added to the LUYL Art Cart collection in WVHC Hospice and/or included in our 2021 Silent Auction. This special event continues (Nov. 11-15). Due to the unfortunate weather this past weekend these generous businesses have decided to extend their support for the Light Up Your Life Society. Start your Christmas shopping, or treat yourself ... either way you won't be disappointed! We like to call Gossamer Gallery & Gifts, Pieces-Passion for Fashion and Kathy Meaney (Visual Artist) three of the "Jewels in the Crown of Parkland County"!!

The 29th Annual Light Up Your Life Campaign has begun. Our goal this year is $60,000.00 and with your support we are confident in reaching it. Donations are accepted on our website: www.lightupyourlifesociety.org; by mail at 4405 South Park Drive, Stony Plain T7Z 2M7, or at one of our many donation box locations in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Wabamun and Seba Beach or the Parkland County Administration Office. Please take a moment to share this information with your friends and family to enable us to continue to support palliative/hospice & continuing care needs in our own communities.

The MEMORIAL WALL is part of the Light Up Your Life Hospice Garden at WestView Health Centre. If you wish to honour the memory of your loved one by having a plaque installed on the wall, we would love to hear from you. Please refer to the picture below and call Joyce at 780-571-1282 for full details on cost, etc. We love our statue "Toby" who also pays tribute with a tag that reads "In Memory of My Faithful Human".

And each day bringing peace, comfort and joy to the patients, residents and staff of WestView HC Continuing Care and Hospice. To date the LUYL Society has funded $270,000.00 to support the overall needs of Hospice. The Light Up Your Life Hospice Garden Phase IV expansion will be starting soon. Kiwi Nurseries will begin landscaping work on the area behind the gazebo walls ...with the addition of Karl Forester Grasses and Flowering Shrubs. The garden is absolutely beautiful right now with a wide variety of flowering shrubs and plants in full bloom. This area has brought an immense amount of joy and contentment to hospice patients whose windows look out on the garden, continuing care residents and staff. The goal of the LUYL Society was (and is) to create a tranquil and beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. To this end our wonderful group of volunteer "Water-Babies" along with the support of our Master Zen Gardener, Cynthia Winfield, continue to daily care for the garden. See more
