Used my art studio to cut a #stencil on the weekend. Gosh, I miss drawing but the music muse calls! New @lastbirdsmusic single release this Friday! #weddingday
Moving Pictures has been a little slice of joy in this crazy year. When Sandee Moore approached me about being part of this innovative exhibit, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Thank you, Art Gallery of Regina!

Life Lesson Learned: Never Say Never A few times over the course of my artist life, I have found myself saying I could never work/draw/create that way. One example is my Garden Immaculate series. Less than a year before I started it, I remember saying out loud to someone, I am terrible at perspective drawing. I never do it. I then proceeded to spend the next two years making drawings using strict perspective rules. Recently, in a studio tour video I made for the @artgalleryofregina I said I could never draw using digital means. SURPRISE! (to me) I’ve spent the last few weeks creating #rosemaling and #folkart inspired work on my iPad for an upcoming project. What the hell is wrong with me? #behaviorpattern #artist #liar @ North Portal, Saskatchewan
I had fun putting this little virtual studio tour together for the Art Gallery of Regina. Welcome to my place!
I haven’t been very active on this page lately as I have been going through some creative changes - adding music and songwriting to my list of things I do. My goal for 2020 was to revive my on-line artist presence. I might as well start with this.
I’ll be taking the stage tonight with my best friend and husband, Mike Davis. It’s going to be a great show. See you there, Regina friends!
I’m over the moon about Hook & Nail’s #CFMA2020 nomination. Mike, Jeff Michel, and I put a lot of care into this project. It is such an honour to have our small town stories recognized nationally. (Yep, I’m definitely motivated to keep writing)
I’ll have paintings up tonight at Art Concepts that have never been exhibited in Estevan before. Stop by and visit. Doors open at 7
I’ll be in good company on Friday
I am looking forward to sharing some of my doily paintings that have been touring around North America.
Congratulations to a wonderful artist and mentor, Martha Anne Cole! I am so pleased to see she will be the recipient of the 2019 LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR’S LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT Award. I had the good fortune to work with Martha. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this honour.
