"What stories would we tell if we considered our purpose to be neither destroying nor saving the world but learning to live more beautifully in the world that we have?" - Geoff Mead

Amanda Moser is an intuitive life coach based in Moose Jaw. She periodically does these free sessions where you can submit a question. I'm sharing this one because she includes a message for everyone near the end, beginning around the 43-minute mark. It's a beautiful message and something I think everyone needs to hear, particularly now as Covid ramps up again. Please do give it a listen. It's less than 15 minutes and is totally worth the time.

A message from Southland Safeway. How can you bring a bit of happiness into someone’s life these days? It often doesn’t take much... a phone call, a card in the mail, a little surprise gift on the doorstep. You never know when your small action will make a huge difference

If you are an artist - either an established one or an aspiring one - you may want to check out art.bundlesforgood.com. Once a year they put together a huge bundle of online classes from a variety of artists. There are 75 classes in this year's bundle, and the price is $97 USD which is an amazing value. Even in Canadian dollars it's less than $2 per class. They also donate 25% of the proceeds to charity. This year's charity is Courageous Kitchen, a group helping refugees in Thailand. Sale ends tonight though, so sign up today if it's something you're interested in! And no, I am not getting a commission for this - it's just something I believe is a win-win for everybody

Hello everyone. I know I've been terribly quiet for months. Like many people I've been adjusting - and readjusting, as things change - to this new normal. I have to say, despite the challenges lockdown has also had its advantages: I have spent a lot of time reading and meditating and searching for whatever it is I'm meant to be doing. I believe I have a purpose I'm not yet fulfilling. I do think that healing is a part of it, and yes I'm still doing sessions, but I've been fee...ling for a long time that there's still something missing. All the advice says to "follow what lights you up", but it's been a struggle for me to figure out exactly what that is. Partly, I think, because I like so many things. How do you choose one over another? I won't bore you with the entire story, because it's longer than it should be (guess I'm a slow learner ), but it's become clear to me that all my favorite things have one element in common: beauty. And not just visual beauty, but all the things that a human can enjoy with any one or more of their senses: a delicious meal; a warm, handmade blanket; a summer breeze on your skin; the smell of rain. And so, in order to follow what lights me up, I'm now going to be posting regularly about all the beautiful things I discover as I move through my life. I don't know where this will lead, but that's alright. I'll figure it out as I go. I hope you'll all stick around for the journey
