Hi all! Here's an invitation for you to join me at my upcoming public lecture at the Toronto Public Library - "Your Brain on Exercise." Why does exercise make us feel so good? What's going on in our brains when we work out that leaves us feeling refreshed, reinvigorated and happy after a good workout? We'll explore the role of "feel good" brain chemicals that get released when we exercise; how exercise alleviates depression, and increases memory and learning. We'll als...o learn which exercises are best for brain health and which foods are best to eat to maintain good mental health. Join me on Mon Sep 19, 2016, from 2-3pm at the Toronto Reference Library in the Hinton Learning Theatre. The library is on Yonge Street just north of Bloor. Look forward to seeing you there!

My next workshop at the Canfitpro Academy will be on Saturday September 24 from 9-12 noon. The topic is "Demystifying Nutrition." If you're confused about all the claims and counterclaims we hear about nutrition...one day something is healthy, the next day it's not...and want to learn how to sift through all the confusion, then you should attend my workshop on Demystifying Nutrition. We'll also explore how to read a nutrition food label, learn what those impossible to pro...nounce ingredients are on the food lables, and much more. We'll break through the confusion by sorting through the mass of facts about the nutritional value of the food and drink we consume For more details about registering and continuing education credits, here's the link to follow and scroll down to "Demystifying Nutrition." Hope to see you there! http://www.canfitpro.com/academy-events#demystifying

If you're looking to hire a Personal Trainer, you need to ask some very important questions to make sure he or she is certified, experienced, and knows how to train you safely. There are too many stories out there about trainers who have injured their clients. I should know. I was one of those clients. So, check out my podcast on how to hire a trainer; http://radiomd.com//i/30642-how-to-hire-a-personal-trainer
