Luminis, together with our sister brands, has a long history of participating in the 24h Tremblant to raise funds for children’s charities. Without the opportunity to participate live in the ski/walk relays this year, we had to get creative. So, three company teams were formed to compete virtually, gaining points for participating in individual sports activities and fundraising. We also threw in some fun, challenging, (and occasionally embarrassing) activities and games to... earn bonus points! Project Story: Bringing the outdoors in with striking illumination The Avenues is a stunning waterfront commercial and leisure mall that stretches 1.5 km along the Bahrain Bay in Manama, Bahrain. The entertainment complex gives visitors an outdoor feeling while remaining indoors, protected from the heat by a beautiful glass ceiling. To invoke that feeling of bringing the outdoors in, developers selected Luminis' Bellevue exterior luminaires to line the Grand Avenue pathway. Project story: Exterior lighting unifies historic warehouse transformation with today’s urban living The original Try Street Terminal in downtown Pittsburgh served as a hub for shipping and manufacturing companies. Constructed in 1921, the historic landmark has now been transformed into a vibrant residential community known as Terminal 21. Strada led the renovation project with a nod to preserving its heritage. Architects sought to keep the original character of the building ...as they created the 205 loft-style apartments and accompanying amenities for its residents. Luminis Lumiquad LQ627 bollards and LQ641 columns were selected by the Strada team to light the pathway and driveway along the First Avenue main entrance. "We were looking for a minimalist aesthetic for the lighting so that the focus would be on the historic building," said Sean Beasley, principal at Strada.
