The last few days have been hard ! We have been called over and over to help people who are overwhelmed with cats. By overwhelmed I mean by population, sick kittens, and the financial burden. I have struggled very much as to how to make this post. In regards of how to talk about the importance of spay and neuter and how to talk about pet ownership and the life long commitment it really is. I don’t wish to offend anyone but please please research before getting a pet and und...erstand what your getting yourself into the commitment you are considering making when you are being an animals into you household and life. The last few groups of cats we have taken in have been abandoned on peoples property, left behind in a move, or people just don’t spay and neuter causing overpopulation and unwanted kittens. All of these situations have ended up with us taking large numbers of cats and kittens, most of which are NOT in good health... We have just recently taken in a group of cats who were left to live in kennels for a period of time. The conditions of these cats is something I will not soon forget. (Will post video in comments). Along with this 2 mother cats with 11 kittens left behind in a property after people moved and left to fend for themselves. Many of these kittens and cats have needed immediate vet care. To be on medication for upper respiratory some are so sick (as seen below). She WILL loose her eye... Taking in all these cats is very taxing on us emotionally, however we can’t say no! Where would they go?! All rescues are full! But we feel, every animal deserves a chance and we will fight to make sure that happens. With that said all of these cats and kittens and fosters need a little help. We need supplies!! Bleach Clean blankets and towels Laundry soap Cleaning supplies Paper towel Cat toys Cat/kitten food Cat beds KMR kitten formula But most of all we need cash donations to treat these cats and kittens with antibiotics, eye drops, and pain meds. Please consider making a donation to Ospika Animal Hospital today. Instead of your Starbucks or Tim’s help an animal. Our current ospika bill is just over $5000 (as seen in photos) We need a holiday miracle to help us, to help the animals . Our volunteers Lisa, Anna, Amy and myself try everyday to be the best we can be to educate others and help one more and just one more , to date Luv 4 Paws has saved over 3000 lives. Help us save 3000 more by making a donation today you will keep an animal safe and help us keep fighting the good fight! Make a difference today by donating Donations can be dropped off at 2315 Churchill Road in the carport. You can call Ospika directly to donate on our account OR you can etransfer to [email protected] with the password rescue. Thank you all for your continued support we you all of our animals thank you.

Meet Ryder! Ryder is a 1.5-year-old lab mix who is now looking for his FUREVER home. He is an active young guy who would do well in a household with another dog to be buddies with. Ryder was found at a bush camp by a couple of workers and after we located his owner he was surrendered to us. He was saved from spending the winter out in the forest, cold and hungry. Ryder has been adjusting well to city life and is fully house and kennel trained. Ryder is learning leash s...kills and basic commands (sit, stay, come). He enjoys hiking and jogging with his foster family. He would be a great outdoor adventure buddy and will require daily exercise! Ryder gets along well with other dogs, but we suggest a home with no cats and children above the age of 10 due to his larger size. Ryder is approximately 65 lbs and is an extremely gentle and loving soul. He began life with a rough start, but we are determined to give him the great life that he deserves. If you are interested in Ryder please send us a private Facebook message with your email address, OR let us know if you have an application on file with us. The adoption fee for adult dogs is $425 and includes full vaccination, deworming, microchipping, neuter/spay, and a full health exam from the vet.

It’s Caturday once again! This week we have four adult cats who are looking for their FUREVER homes. All of these sweet faces are chill cats who are in foster homes with other animals and some with children. They were all brought to us for a different reason and we feel so fortunate to beable to help them in their journey to find LOVING families and their very own happy ending. Often older cats get over looked at rescues because people are often looking for a kitten...s. Many young cats (approx. 1 years old or younger) come into care with us. They are still playful and snuggly and have all the characteristics you may want in a feline friend. If you are interested in any of these beautiful cats please send us a private message with your email address for an application, OR let us know if you have an approved application on file. The adoption fee for adult cats (above 6 months of age) is $250. This includes full vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, microchipping, and a full health exam from the vet! More information about these sweethearts is included their individual photo captions.

We would like to introduce you to these two very special ladies! Belinda (left) and Betty (right) came to us about a month ago and have been in a loving foster home so that we can get to know them a bit better! They are sisters (bonded pair) and are approximately 2 years old. They were surrendered to us after their owner needed to move into long term care and could not have them in the facility. We are very happy to help them find a forever home! Betty is a fun, adv...enturous young cat who’s favorite activities include rubbing her face all over you and being the centre of attention! She is playful and active, yet she loves to curl up on your lap while you’re trying to get work done on your computer. Belinda, her sister is a bit more shy, still loves rubbing her face all over you and being close by when you’re relaxing. These two would be great for someone looking for two buddies to keep them company while working or studying from home! If you are interested in this pair please send us a private message with your email address, or let us know if you have a perviously filled application! Betty and Belinda are available for adoption by donation. They are spayed and up to date on vaccinations. We want to find these two the purrfect home before Christmas!

With colder days upon us and more snow, we just wanted to take a moment to remind you of the dogs and cats who don’t just play in the snow. We want to remind you to think of the dogs and cats who live outside during the winter months. LUV 4 Paws has spent the year getting ready for winter. Gathering food and blankets for the animals, hoping to ensure there is enough food for them all and that they have something to keep them warm. We are still busy collecting donations of ...food and blankets for animals in need. If you want to be part of something amazing and make a difference help us feed these animals and keep them warm through the harsh winter months ahead. Our team will make sure the animals receive all your donations. Donations can be dropped at 2315 Churchill Road in the carport, or at our donation businesses Game Changerz VR and Petland Prince George. Winter preparation is an extremely valuable part of rescue, but our emergency vet care never stops! Today we have a dog flying into Prince George who has been hit by a car. They will be picked up from the airport and transferred directly to Ospika Animal Hospital where there they will receive urgent, live-saving medical care. Thank you LUV 4 Paws Community we LUV and appreciate all your support!

Happy Caturday LUV 4 Paws friends! We are still looking for a home for these two cuties. Ali (orange) and Teslin (black) are a bonded pair who came into care with us a while ago and are ready to move into their FUREVER. Ali and Teslin are a bonded pair and we would like them to do adopted into a home together. Ali is an orange long-haired aged cat who loves to explore and be close to her human. She’ll follow you room to room all day, and will curl up beside you and purr.... Teslin is an all-black cat, who’s a little shy. As he warms up he’s know to love cuddling in your lap, with lots of snuggles and nowhere to go. They are okay with other animals but would do best in a home where they can be the centre of attention. If you are interested in Ali and Teslin please head up to Petland Prince George to view them there. Let's find these two a perfect FUREVER home.

Please join us in welcoming these sweet souls into our care These boys were found wandering forest service roads and hanging around a couple crew camps since August. We worked hard to locate their owners and since have had these boys surrendered. We are so thankful to the crews for feeding them and reaching out to us. ... Ryder and Finn arrived last night and ate and slept like they had not in a long time. We just wanted to give a shout out to all those who help and speak up, speak for those who can’t speak for themselves. Ryder and Finn would have continued to wander if their animal hero Emily would not have reached out! They could have become more lost, frozen,or been hit by big trucks. Thank you Emily, you saved 2 lives and we will forever be grateful you spoke up. Both of these boys will be vaccinated, dewormed, examed by our vet, neutered and then we will look for a FUREVER for them. As time goes by we will let you know what their assessment is as to what they would like for a forever family. Adoption fees will be $425 each. So far all we know they are sweet, gentle, easy going and are currently in a foster home with one of our volunteers who has dogs.
