So wear your nice outfits, your special jewelry, your bold lipsticks, your cute shoes ... use your special dishes, fancy lotions and favourite products....drink that exceptional bottle of wine ...don't save things for special occasions...everyday is special, live it with happiness and joy I have always been THAT person that always likes to save things for a special occasion ... Wow a lot can change in 4 yrs As I approach my 36th birthday, I reminisce about my early 30s, specifically a crazy celebration on my 32nd birthday when life seemed so busy and hectic, and these divas were not even in the picture I never knew what was in store for us, that soon we would be blessed with these angels in such a short time span. Now I am still as busy and hectic running on very little sleep most days ... What I have learned is no matter where you are in your life: high school, university, early in your career, or into motherhood, trying to balance career and motherhood or beyond, life is always going to be busy, just a different kind of busy as our priorities change So make time for YOURSELF everyday, it doesn't get any easier to find the time, but if you don't make yourself a priority, how will you recharge, be able to handle today or be ready for the future? I need a lot of energy and patience to take care of these girls, it has taken time and I have to remind myself daily, to take a minute, half an hour, whatever I can squeeze out to do something for me, to make me feel better or relax, some of those things are: showering ALONE, without my 3 lady entourage in the front row or in there with me lol taking time to put on some makeup or do my hair (rarely have time for both, but if at least one is done, i feel good) take a minute to sit and eat breakfast enjoy a cup of tea (alone in my bubble!) go for a workout, hot yoga class, or a walk (even if its just 30mins, its better then nothing) read a few pages of a book, like a real book I hold in my hands not read on screen, about something that interests me (not about parenting or diaper rashes LMAO) take a power nap I usually only get to do a couple of these on any given day, but anything that allows me to be alone, quiet, without a screen around is usually the best What do you make time for to recharge yourself, your mind, your soul? #birthdayiscoming #junebaby #gettingolderbutwiser #growingup #mybabies #mygirls #motherof3 #motherhood #mothers #thoughtoftheday #timeforyou #readabook #cupoftea #beactive #deepbreaths #itsnevereasy #eachdayisagift
