Housing Prices Show An Increase in April April statistics for Durham Region housing show a decrease in the number of sales by 52% from April of 2019. New listings also decreased from March as our country continues to battle COVID-19. The Durham Region is still an excellent place to live and invest. As a result, the average sale price did not show a decrease.... On average, the region held its value from April of 2019, with some areas like Oshawa, Clarington, Ajax, Scugog and Uxbridge showing an increase. Sellers looking to move up should pay attention to incredible increases in the sale prices of Semis, townhouses and Condos. With low inventory and shorter days on market, properly priced homes are poised to sell. Coldwell Banker 2M is at the forefront of technology. Our agents are using excellent tools in virtual marketing and electronic signatures to ensure buyers and sellers are taken care of.

Average sales prices have remained steady across the region in March as a result of lower inventory. Oshawa saw the greatest gains over 2019 at just under 15%. Condos and Semis both showed over 20% increases in Average Sale price showing that first time homebuyers continue to come to the Durham Region. The Real Estate Market really came out swinging this month. The number of transactions have been up every month in the first quarter, reporting at 31% higher in March than ...this time last year. Despite these gains, the housing market began to experience a shift in mid-March following the outbreak of COVID-19. Ill continue to bring you weekly Real Estate data during this unprecedented time.

Durham Region is on fire!! Durham Region showed an increase of 13% in average sale price from January 2018, as well as a 15% increase in number of transactions. Whitby showed the greatest recovery in average sale price at 17% after a slower 2019. With just 1.9 months of inventory and a reduction of 20% in new listings, Durham Region has become a strong market with low inventory and high demand. ...
