I suppose it’s like being born without an arm vs. losing the arm later in life.You see, I was attending a networking group and it was my turn to get up and say a few words about our company. "Here’s our location, these are our productsblah, blah!" Then I got to talking about our service model and halfway through my spiel, a sales rep from another company chimed in How does this company make any money! Everything’s free! This got a good laugh from the re...st of the attendees, to which I responded Hey! you still have to buy the coffee! This got more giggles but, more importantly, they brought it home for me, that what we consider to be basic care, is to others a value-added service that should be paid for. I had completely taken our service for granted. So we provide the machines, clean them every delivery, replace broken parts, deliver to your door, do off-routes, have a pre-call reminder service, have a 59-minute rule for efficient response to customers’ inquiries Don’t all coffee services do these things? NO, no they do not! I can honestly share with you that Maritime Coffee’s service is a cut above the rest and the next time I’m in front of peers, you can bet that service will be one of the first words out of my mouth.
