Martensville Fire would like to thank our community for the support we recieved during last weeks fire. Special thanks to Subway for donating supper and Park Derochie Coating who allowed access to their property to help fight the fire, the use of their washroom facilities, and provided coffee and donuts for the crew. Also, thank you to the community members who showed up and donated coffee, donuts, and ice cream. It is a pleasure and honour for MFD to serve Martensville and surrounding area.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is how our Martensville Fire Department Medical First Responder team stays safe while we perform life saving actions before EMS arrives. Please be patient as we put on our PPE so that we can stay safe and to keep you safe too. Once EMS arrives, they will need to put on similar PPE so please allow them the time and space to do so. Please see the animation/infographic below for what to expect for us and EMS when you call 911

MFD would like to notify the public that currently there is no fire ban in effect for the City of Martensville. Residents should continue to ensure safe measures such as never leaving a fire pit unattended, and properly extinguishing a fire after its use. For more details, please visit the City of Martensville website regarding the fire pit bylaw.

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT Due to dry conditions a full fire ban has been implemented in the R.M. of Corman Park. The ban will be put in place immediately, and does not allow for any open flame fires to be lit within the R.M. of Corman Park until such time that the ban is lifted. All fires within the R.M. are banned. This requires all outdoor fires presently burning be extinguished and the lighting of any outdoor fires is prohibited. This ban includes fire pits, burning barrels, con...trolled burns, and fireworks, with the only exceptions being internal household fire places and gas fueled equipment such as a propane barbecue or propane fire pit. As per R.M. Fire Services Bylaw 13/20, the Total Fire Ban will be in effect until deemed appropriate to change

There have been a lot of inquiries regarding the more recent popularity of fire truck drive-by and visits by firefighters during the current COVID pandemic, as seen in several neighbouring communities. MFD recognizes that these visits would bring a lot of cheer to those in the community, however, at this time we are not participating in this activity. The health and safety of our crews is of upmost importance. We are limiting all unnecessary contact between our members during the pandemic. Please wish your child a very happy birthday from MFD and when things are back to normal please feel free to stop by the fire hall for a tour. This was not an easy decision for MFD, however, was made to help ensure our members can stay healthy and available for emergency response.
