Dr. Ruchika Swaro would be working full time at Medicare Clinic from January 2018 and is accepting new patients. Her special interests are chronic disease management, mental health, female health and child health. She also is part of our aesthetics team. ‘Dr Ruchika Swaro is an enthusiastic female physician who completed her Family Physician training from the UK and obtained Membership of Royal College of General Practioners. She also hold Diploma of Royal College of Obstret...ics and Gynaecology. She has certification from the College of Family Physician of Canada. Dr R Swaro takes prides in looking after her patients well by making effective use of her education, experience and communication skills. Other than English, she can communicate in Hindi, Urdu and punjabi. In her free time, she likes to travel . She has great interest in Indian Classical dance and gets actively involved organising and performing in cultural activities. Dr R Swaro is delighted to be part of Medicare team and would welcome new patients to be a part of Medicare Family. Dr. Nida Basit is a registered family physician in Canada since 2012. Dr. Basit's special interests include family & women health, prenatal, postnatal, chronic pain managemen, laser and medical aesthetic. She enjoys caring for all patients and believes excellent communication is essential for doctor-patient relationship. In her spare time, she enjoys baking homemade goodies, spending time with family, and friends. Dr. Benjamin Cavilla was born and raised in Alberta, Canada where he completed his primary, secondary and post-secondary education, culminating in a degree in Biochemistry (B.Sc.) from the University of Lethbridge. In 2000 he initiated his post-graduate training in Vancouver, BC, subsequently obtaining a graduate degree in Medical Genetics (M.Sc.) from the University of British Columbia. Returning after that to Alberta, he received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Alberta in 2006, then pursued specialty training in Family Medicine. Following extra training in Palliative Care Medicine, Dr. Cavilla devoted himself to working in remote areas of British Columbia’s interior providing general in-patient and out-patient care, maternity, and emergency treatment. In addition to his general practice in Calgary, Dr. Cavilla volunteers around the globe with the Flying Doctors of Canada.
